TiRant Razor V3

Having carried the TiRant Razor V2 for almost 2 years, I decided to upgrade to the newest version. I’m very glad I did.

Got one of the original runs of the v2 for 60 bucks. They even gave me the upgraded ceramic bearings for free because of a shipping delay. Really nice guy and the best utility knife I've ever used!

$80-$200 titanium utility knife. I went to Lowe's and bought a beautiful metal Cobalt utility knife for about $8. I love that knife. I bought 2 of them.

I remove the clip off of mine to make it even more thin and more comfortable to pocket carry. Great EDC.

Welcome back Ben! Bought the v3 few months back used it at work everyday (factory) until I went to grab it one day and it was gone. Thankfully it was in the deep part of my pocket but the clip and screw were gone. Exceed sent me a new screw and clip. Went to change the clip. Screws striped when trying to remove them even after applying heat. So for $80 dollars idk say it’s a novelty piece. Been carrying a Milwaukee fastback ever since.

Can’t wait to receive mine tomorrow I remember my first utility knife it was a Gerber from Walmart like 20 something years ago I’ve always been a utility knife guy something about them appeal to me over traditional pocket knives I got me one of these because of the squared design probably why i bought the Gerber quadrant..

I got the black with the rougher cf show scale. What is great for me is the the blade doesn’t move about. And it allows me to put my middle forger closer to the blade for cutting leather

Glad to see you back I remember buying this two years ago also when you did the review on the v2 but when I had placed my order the maker contacted me to let me know he was actually giving me the upgraded v3 at the cost of the v2 because he was already going to update it and it was taking longer than usual to get some of the parts

my concern with this knife is the blade is not fully covered then the blade is folded down in the handle, seems like you would be at risk of cutting you finger or something in your pocket

Great tool. I have a v2 and just order a v3 elite with both scales textured. I agree it would be great if the tail screw was also captured like the pivot screw. I also agree a big fold out driver like the fastbacks just wouldn't suit this design, however it would be cool to see them integrate a 4mm or 1/4 drive in the tail end or back spacer.

I have the V3 with a pattern on the face scale titanium. It’s a very cool knife and beats out some of my far more expensive pocket knives for carry time, just bc I don’t need to worry about what I’m cutting when I’m using a disposable blade

Hey Ben, I've been using my TiRant Razor V3 for about 8 months. Totally agree with your review. For me, the standout characteristics are the amount of handle purchase in use for such a compact form factor when being carried. Also, the CF "Slash" scale gives great comfortable grip and control. My spec weight is; 58 grams ~ 2.05 ounces Spec as currently built is; TiRant RAZOR V3 Utility Knife (Jet-Black 6AL-4V Titanium) × 1 Add 6AL-4V Titanium Pry Bar Rear Spacer? (Matching Knife Color): Yes Add Separate Carbon Fiber RH Scale?: Yes - CARBON FIBER SLASH Add Separate 38MM Mini-Clip?: Yes

What is your take on extra blade storage for v4? I thought it'd be a nice addition, but you seem to get along well without it. I do like your suggestion of a wire stripper notch. I'd have never seen that.

Have you seen the titaner raven yet? it uses olfa ckb2 blades, really thick and big utility blades. they came out with a $200 v2 now too, that has a quick change blade, although the v1 is still tool less, takes me less than a minute to swap the blade out.

$80 box cutter? I don't get it... & where is it made? This is more men's jewelry, as opposed to a tool. You already carry your Surge, right? Maybe review some suspenders? I have a surge, but it's kind of heavy w/o suspenders. Sorry for my sarcasm, your EDC does have CLASS! IMHO

This is knife only for titanium loving maniacs. Its shortness, lightness and slim build makes cutting difficult and hand tired quickly. For few dollars it is easy to buy much better tool or EDC utility knife which fits small pocket in jeans. And they all use the same SK5 blades.
