There was a guy at the club we used to play we all called Hillbilly Thor but he wasn't muscled just like 6'4" and 370 lbs of who knows what with a blonde mullet and he could lift an 810 by himself and carry it. Literally off the ground, and walk it where it needed to go. He won A LOT of cash and bar tabs because of betting people he could do it and earned more proving them wrong than he could have had he offered to load in/out for pay. Pretty smart. No clue what became of him but now that I have seen this video it made me think of him and I will ask around if anyone knew of his real name.

I always put mine on it's side, through the side door of a full size van, with the speakers right up behind the seats. If you try to keep it in perfect condition, that is when you will hurt your self. They are very easy to get around with one person. You'll need help getting it up on a bandstand or a stage. You have to sacrifice the 'beautiful' tolex on the left side of the amp. Nothing that a little black spray paint won't fix right up. It's a tool, it's not some museum piece.

Totally agree. These things look intimidating to move but anybody who has actually tried it will know it's really not that bad. Would much rather move this than a 410 or a combo amp without wheels.

@@ZaneDalton There's three ways to haul a 410 and they all suck. 1. Let's say it has wheels. 410s are short, so you'll have to bend over to push it. No thanks. 2. It doesn't have wheels so you have to bring a separate dolly. No thanks. 3. It has no wheels and you don't have a dolly so you have to dead ass lift that fucking thing and carry it down the street. No thanks. There's only one way to haul an 810. Grab the handles, tilt back, and push. Done. Even when it comes to lifting it into your car. 410 your gonna have to deadlift it. 810 just use the height to your advantage and rock it in exactly how this video shows.

I can tell you i have the 6 x10 HLF ,it is easier tp move then a 4x10 cab HE .I ve had both now just the 6x10 .And i have physical problems due to M.S. the wheels with the bar on the back by the top really make the difference for moving ..The 4x10 had handles on the side and the 4 wheels come out all the time so this cab had to be rolled or carried by 2 people .There is also a 4x10 HLF which is set up like the 6x10 ,8x10 cabs with 2 mounted wheels and bar on the back so they move like a movers dolly ..HLF stands for Horn Low Freq. there is a horn in the cab that can be turned up or down ,the cab is ported on the bottom to produce lower freqs than a regular cab .

Vans are easy because they are low to the ground but when I had a Lincoln Navigator and Honda Pilot different story as they are higher off the ground. I ended up putting rails on the side and a cabinet drawer handle on the bottom of the other side, tip it like Dino says and put your foot under it then grab the handle and lift/push fast or it will come back down on you, that worked well. And I put skateboard trucks on it and made a huge difference moving it around.

Great advice, and it applies to the 610 hlf too. If I get one of my band mates to help me load it usually we load the cab bottom first that way we can then use the rail and the wheels to maneuver the cab into position. I make no claims about this way being good for me though. Thanks.

The 8x10 has infinite baffle which means the speakers are in 4 sealed off section from one another 2 speakers per section .The 6x10 isn't like that or the 4x10 HLF.. I hope this helps to understand the difference ..The 6x10 HLF i can play 3 notes at once by using my 2 fingers and thumb ,the 3 notes come out clear .The 8x10 couldn't do that plus i like the deeper freqs. And the ability to turn the horn up for more tremble for different style of playing ...This should make things clear about the difference .I figured my last post wasn't clear enough on the difference .. .
