7:09 make sure to remember that np(1-p) is variance not standard deviation so you'll be using the square root of that value

convinced that N distributions only use variance for notation and std. deviation for actual calculations to make things hard for students honestly

​@Sam that is essentially it, but there is an actual reason. Combining distributions doesn't work if you are adding standard div, so it's easier for it to be written as a variance.

To be safe, I'd still put them down in the form they use- after all, you can always convert them into the i and j notation in your final answer

greater than since we are testing upper tail > in h1:p>0

2:40 why do u accept h0? its a upper tail test therefore ur value is in the critical region so you would accept h1 im so confused now lol

horizontal component of T acts left and that is the only force acting left and therefore there needs to be a frictional force acting right to counteract it(as friction only force moving right)
