Welcome to Private Practice Skills! I’m Dr. Marie Fang, psychologist in private practice. I post videos offering tools I learned the hard way about starting and growing private practice so that you don’t have to.

One thing I realized after my own zoom doctors appointment, is it’s nice to let the client leave the meeting room first. The cut off is really abrupt.
"Can we put a pin in this" is one of my most frequently used statements while wrapping up sessions! 😂

I'm totally stealing this! 😅
Do you have a video on writing progress notes, what you include, etc.?
I've followed you for years and am so happy to be graduating next year with my BSW. I'm getting my Master's degree in Social Work and plan to become an LCSW to open my own practice. I'm so happy to have found your channel again.
I ask : was that enough for today? And usually I get a relieved " yes".
“As we’re wrapping up our session today…”
Appreciate all of the great tips!
So recently, I was talking with a telehealth client about how we don't have the same transition time we get when driving to and from session so it can help to have a post session or even in session ritual to help process and debrief. Typically this is either a normal or voice memo app.
I'm so glad you made this video. Thank you. Please make more
I'm a new subscriber! I'm so grateful I found your channel and thank you for taking the time to provide support to all of us in this way!
Thinking how your videos would also be great for grad students in their internship and for new professionals.
I really enjoy your content. I’m a graduate student heading into my second year and am seriously considering private practice once I am licensed. This stuff is all so very helpful!
Very helpful ..thanks
As a student of Psychology your videos are helping me allot and i am si thank ful to you for doing amazing work. Keep it up. ❤
"I'm trying to find a happy conclusion here ..." is my fav.

I use a timer and set it four minutes before the ending time.
