Self taught artist meaning someone who hasn't looked at other artists before or learn from KZread or even learn the fundamentals and no art is not fully a talent but more like a skill hope this demonstrates more.
Oh wow, I never even considered holding the pencil differently. I mostly draw on smaller spaces anyway, but I'll try to remember this when an opportunity comes up. Thanks!

Cool!
Thanks, Leonardo. I have drawn since childhood but always had a death grip on the pencil. Around 2010 I learned to use the underhand grip and it kind of freed my strokes, though it took several years to somewhat master it, it feels natural now.

You are very welcome. I'm glad it helped! :)
You explained it better than anyone I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard it from many teachers and many videos here on KZread. I still find different grips difficult, but I will definitely keep persisting.🙏🏽
Leonardo has such a soothing voice. It makes me feel relaxed!
Thank you Mr.Pereznieto for your advice - I greatly appreciate it, and I really enjoy watching your videos.
Ok, I am officially making you my 'Sensei'!!! You are awesome! I didn't even know or think to hold a pencil in different ways, although in my eye video, I was doing the 'snooker cue' technique for the iris lines 😂
Thank you, Leonardo! I've been enjoying your tips for some time, now. They have really been helpful and encouraging to keep on learning how to draw better. See you!

Thank you for this video! I just started drawing for the first time last week. I'm 45yrs old and I was struggling with the best way to hold my pencil from different angles and directions. Not knowing, but I found myself using the grips in your video. Right now I'm filling up pages in my sketch book with basic shapes and lines of various sizes. Do you have any videos on beginner exercises? Thanks again and great video! Bless you!
I have used the tripod grip for everything, all my life. 😖 lol, I was trying each of the techniques and, wow... Thank you for the tips. 👏
