    Damn, so much relatable content in this one video, its incredible. From being a dad to the fear induced by solo pvp, the patient - reposition playstyle, the long stand off scenarios, losing track of time looking through loot, and finally missing the path to lighthouse extract by near seconds (among others but I just recently had that that exact experience play out a few days ago), and having to drop gear for insurance before the mia death 😂 remarkable, definitely earned a sub! Looking forward to more videos from you man. I'd love to see them change the extract to if you make it there to the location of extraction before the time runs out your good. Missing it by a literal second is so painful 😅

    I play super slowly and tactically as well. This sort of video perfectly encapsulates how I enjoy Tarkov. For me tarkov is almost a role play experience. To me there is nothing more invigorating and rewarding in a video game than slowly and systematically outplaying a squad in EFT, despite knowing that I am mechanically mid at best.

    I created a Discord some time ago and invited the general public to join in hopes of creating a little Tarkov crew. Eventually I had a small tight nit group, which was nice. All experienced FPS used to PC gaming with a mouse and keyboard. One day, a new guy came along. He just built his first PC, and his first game on a mouse and keyboard was Tarkov. We all felt a collective sense of dread and pity for him, we felt his pain on a level that horrified us all. In the end, it all worked out, now he's a recovering addict like the rest of us.

Just played a few raids solo, other ones were with high lvl friends so those weren't really helpful except I could get rid of gear fear and learned a few things about maps and game mechanics. I felt exactly like during my solo raids - with the exception I'm killing scavs on Woods and Customs.

    Little side note about extracting. If you can't make it for any reason to extract. Just dump your gear. If you got it on you and the timer ends, you lose everything. But if you dump it (if you insured it) you will get it back.

    Just a little tip for your movement, when you stop sprinting right before the green bar turns red, it will regenerate your stamina much faster and I think it even won't cost as much hydration but that might just be my imagination / PTSD from other games with similar mechanics. The little red area is basically meant to be your last breath when running into cover, while under fire or something. Just wanting to let you know in case you didn't already, nice video tho buddy, keep it up!

    Dude this is hilarious. And quite informative. You’re a man after me my own heart. I showed this video to my wife, starting at the point where you had to leave to deal with your kid. She ended watching the whole thing with me! She was literally feeling the anxiety that one feels playing this game. I then proceeded to explain in detail how the game works to her. Now she understands why I just want to go to my shed and kill some scavs after I put the little man down for sleep. There’s nothing like blasting someone in the face and taking all their belongings to decompress for the evening. She no longer see me as a hermit hiding from my problems in the shed, but a hero, killing for the greater good of my rubel account and inventory screen. Thank you sir. Also it was quite impressive how you articulated the emotions and psychology of this game. Excited for more videos.

    I’m already ready for the next vid man. Very informative, this is my 8th or 9th wipe with right around 400hrs total played. I prefer a more laid back non aggressive play style such as sniping but my crew doesn’t. They’re all full auto guns a blazing heathens lol we typically get clapped by chads but we’re just having fun and tasking usually. I really like the break down and commentary. I like understanding and knowing why a player chose this move or positions. Helps me on the offense and defensive side of fights. I have a hard time trusting my instincts in whether to push, wrap around or just back off because i have a disadvantage. Definitely gonna try to remember some of the key points you mentioned in the video. I’ve never thought to drop my kit if I can’t exfil before lol something as small as that makes me rethink what I’ve been doing my whole play time in tark lol I just subbed and if I can I’ll try to catch a twitch stream of yours.

    On my 2nd wipe. My duo rage quit this wipe for some reason, he was playing with another guy we trio with sometimes and was level 25 and messaged me one night that he quit, so I'm solo this wipe. Also a Dad of a 2 year old, a 4 month old, and a 10 year old. Last wipe I was a scav main mostly because I had trouble balancing playing vs being a Dad. I've been playing way more PMC this wipe so im making progress. Level 21 this wipe, more PMC kills than last wipe already, and having a ton of fun. I'm consistently taking out duos, winning fights and have less fear of losing fights. Gear Fear was never an issue with me, the psychology of losing fights was worse for me and I feel no one talks about this. Everyone just says "oh it's gear fear, you'll get over it" but it's not that. I hate losing, like all people do, and that is what got me a ton last wipe. 61% survival rate so I'm winning more than losing but great video man. I love shoreline and love hearing your commentary. I'd say more solo play than group play would be preferable. There are tons of group play videos out there. Subbed!

    Awesome video, instant sub. I love the calm voiceover giving insight into all the little details of your solo play. One question though, as a noob in my first wipe, how the F are you guys seeing people? I've been grinding the same 2 maps (woods and customs) the whole time, and I think I've got a pretty good handle on where people are likely to be traveling, but I still will not see people until they come brush my teeth with their barrel. Do I need a bigger monitor? Am I just blind? Lol

  • @fanb0ynate

    @fanb0ynate

    9 ай бұрын

    No you’re not blind at all. I’ll sit and wait in a spot for a while, get up feeling pretty secure and then boom I run into someone point blank as I hit the next tree line. In my experience, woods is a difficult map to set up on a spawn because of the high volume of spawns. Customs is kind of similar but mainly because the wide variety of tasks that take players virtually everywhere on the map. I don’t go to a lot of locations on this video, but if I wasn’t AFK forever it would’ve been completely different. I would’ve sat on top of the concrete platform between resort and power station, could see someone, could not all raid lol. Also, if I spawned south I would’ve gone to the pier and tried to find a shot on someone while looking out the windows. When sniping, always bring your sidearm for those close quarter encounters!

    @@fanb0ynate Good to know lol. Any recommendations for what map to learn next? I've got quests on Shoreline but have only been able to complete one of them so far in a night raid, I've tried 6 Shoreline day raids and someone either sitting in a bush or sitting on a perch somewhere invariably sees me and snipes me, so I've abandoned shoreline for now, though the other maps almost looks even more difficult when I watch videos of them haha. Cheers for the info, can't wait for another video!

  • @fanb0ynate

    @fanb0ynate

    9 ай бұрын

    Shoreline would be the natural progression since you’ll start to collect tasks on that map next. I actually learned shoreline first before customs lol. A good tip is to use the power lines to help orient yourself when out in the open areas. Find a good map of shoreline online that shows them. I would definitely avoid the resort in the beginning. A lot of experienced players run Shoreline over and over and farm resort.

With one every noise I make (walking etc.) is so amplified that I can't hear anything else. Or with another headset, sounds from scavs/other players are so amplified that they sound like they are next/behind me, though they're a floor above me. Totally confusing. I know that’s not what most people like, and I sure miss sitting down for hours and hours myself….However, these gaming intervals provide waaaay less hacking, so at least there’s a positive to having less time to play!
