Tips On Drawing Hands
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I share some of my process and insights on drawing hands! We go over a simple break down of the palm side and back side of the hand, and then dive into a series of dynamic hand gestures! I share some thoughts on construction, anatomy, and how to approach gesture in general:) I have a hand drawing tutorial on gumroad coming out in the next couple weeks, that will go much more in depth on the muscles, bones, construction, rendering, and how to conceptualize the hand from memory that will have loads of content:) Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the advice! I have much to learn still:)
Thank you for sharing your insights, Josh. It's interesting to follow your process and get some more tipps and tricks as you progress. May I kindly suggest something? I like that you do not comment continually. It's quite relaxing to have a thinking pause now and then. This is a beautiful speciality by you. Please don't adpot the already deplorable custom others (especially KZreadrs from the US) have. To be sure: You don't need such an "elevator music bed" (or other) in the background. The background music-loop gets on my nervs latest in the second loop. It's devastating to be punished with it for one and a half hour! To be honest: To me as a musician it's an affront. Would you please drop it entirely? Thank you a lot!
Thank you so so SO much Josh for uploading this! I would absolutely KILL to get many more videos like this, particularly long-form anatomy related tutorial videos. This was so unbelievably helpful
Thanks for the video 🙏

Thank you so much:)
Thanks for this video Josh. I was planning to start hands this week anyway. Just a suggestion: the audio is super low and I had to turn my volume all the way up on my TV. Would be nice if you turned up the speaker volume a bit! 🔊

Thanks for letting me know you found it helpful and for the heads up on the volume issue:)
Love your content, love your drawing style, but that music does my head in. cheers
THANK U!
Bonjour , je me demande comment vous faites pour avoir une belle ligne comme ça en digital , je trouve ça tellement difficile , c'est une catastrophe pour moi alors que en traditionnel je suis a l'aise, merci bien 😊
Thanks Josh! Insightful as always. If you had 2 hours a day as an intermediate to study anatomy, how would you make the best use of that time?

You're welcome:) I would pick either something that really interests you that day or something that you know you struggle with and spend that time doing master copies or watching KZread videos of artist you respect sharing info on the subject:)
👏 🙌 👍
Hey josh the video was very helpful, i wanted to ask you what you thought was a better approach to learning anatomy, is it better to learn one body part at a time and only study that body part for a while to really get it down or would it be better to practice and learn multiple different body parts across the span of a week and repeat that process?

Glad you found it helpful:) I think all the above! honestly, whatever you find inspires you the most or what you struggle with the most and work on either of those areas
