Austin Meyer gotta get one of these G6 babies modeled in the sim, Austin. Or better yet convince the Garmin folks to open up the API a tiny bit so we can use the Garmin PC trainer for the G6 alongside xplane. I’m sure if anyone can convince cirrus and Garmin it’s you! I say this having practiced hundreds of approaches using the vFlyte cirrus, which is a Frankenstein that’s a bit outdated these days!

Cirrus should be one of the best aircraft manufacturers! Why? Because they combine the new with the traditional technology. You may have some crazy, advanced technology on the engine, but the controls are physical, you may have glass cockpit, but you also get steam gauges. I am more of a traditional person, i.e. I prefer aircraft where I have to do everything on my own and fly with steam gauges, but I acknowledge that a cirrus plane would have the same flight fundamental characteristics of a traditional aircraft while the pilot is kept more busy flying the plane that caring about the engine... Thank you Cirrus!

@@heycameraman4411 Good question, we actually pull Garmin avionics data directly from the Perspective+ system and then input that data into a custom script in one of our animation programs. It's a fun touch for video training.

Is the new protocol for steep turns to press in the disconnect as opposed to turning off ESP? This is a bit of an annoyance because you now have lost the ability to trim effectively when your thumb is arrested to a/p disconnect.
