I’m 19 and graduated a technical high school for welding. I have had a full time welding job since I was 17. I just finished up my second structural steel job. From what I learned in school and here on this channel I make more a year then some adults I know and I didn’t spend a dime on education. I just want to take a second to thank you for providing all these videos for free on KZread. You have taught me a lot throughout the years. Keep up the great work Jody!

I started welding 4 weeks ago and make $2500 a week doing shipping containers. Start your own business. I make around $70 an hour and work 35 hours or so a week.

I'm 37, went and got a bachelor's degree right after HS, looking back I wish I wouldn't have believe the myth that I HAD to get a degree to be "successful". I tell people nowadays not to go to college unless you know exactly what you want to do. I wish I would have gone to v-school in high school and gone into the trades. Good for you, you're going to be very successful and the time you give up now having "fun" will pay off ten fold in the future.

We would give our test plates to the machinist and he would take a skim cut on the edge, so the edge was smooth (machine finish) it also butted together with no gaps. Not necessary but for aerospace certification testing I'll take every advantage available. Thanks for the videos Jody

I've noticed almost every time - when you stop the ark , you touch & hold the tungsten to the weld , but never heard you say anything about that , maybe before I started watching a couple yrs. ago ? ;) Thanks again Oh , you did not say anything about the crack in the beginning ?

Very cool arc shots. Not a welder anymore but I love your videos. Gonna be buying a multi process unit and would be very interested in a video of the later technology units for a light to medium duty machine. The inverter technology has come a long way and I’d love to know your thoughts on which ones you’d buy for your own shop. Mainly tig and stick. You definitely helped me get through welding school years ago. For sure. I’m a city cop at a Baltimore school and this feels more important than welding. My first love is a puddle under a tig torch and am interested in getting a really good rig for projects and keeping up my skills. I like rebel but they are expensive. Is it worth the money? You could answer that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I've been watching the progress of repairing a abandoned airplane at another youtube site. They have found some areas with corrosion. They claim that the whole part must be replaced costing well over 100 hours of labor and 9 months for the manufacturer to supply the part. I seem to remember you talking about crawling into airframes to make repairs in the past. So my question is, is it actually legal or not to repair sections of certified airplanes??? You can make aerospace parts but not fix a decades old private airplane???

  • @ivansemanco6976

Here in EU its possible but you need to be certified organization and for some repairs you need manufacturer aproval or, as big organisation you can made your own repair aproved by authority. Sometimes its easier and less costly to buy part from manufacturer. Im not sure how this works under FAA.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the first time I've heard a complaint about our pricing, and we source most of the kit from either trusted USA suppliers or from our own select pieces which I field test myself. Plus we haven't moved our pricing to account for inflation, either. I'll take your feedback into account.
