Picking up two display cases from the curbside was a lucky break. I've spotted the odd one set out for trash from time to time but hesitated and it was gone by the time I came back for a second look. Other good sources are the Restore stores that Habitat operates around the city. Their stock varies and items move fairly quickly so you need to check them on a regular basis. (Hint - know what space you have beforehand.) Contents sales are another thing to watch for. I recently picked up a nice glass fronted cabinet about 4 feet high by 3 wide from a contents auction for under $70. I'm still considering how to light it. Cheers to Mark and Scott for another good video.

I've got an array figures from King and Country, W. Britain, Jenkins, and First Legion. Was able to narrow down these four producers as my absolute favorites; their attention to detail and focus on the eras I'm personally interested in really sealed the deal. My most complete set is from the King and Country English Civil War series. I've got a small army of Parliamentarians and they look great!

I feel your pain. I am currently collecting King & Country WWII US paratroopers for a huge D-Day diorama. Mark

@@OntarioModelSoldierSociety My comment wasn't meant to relay groaning or complaining! But since you allude to the pain of it, I had planned a massive Wars of the Roses diorama from John Jenkins last year. I was going to go hog wild but found out that a significant amount of the figures of that line were no longer in production. Ambitions were halted before they left the door. I've at least been able to pick up/find a sizable contingent of the Yorkist faction, so am happy with what I can get. My next big purchase will be sets and individual pieces the from Collector's Showcase American Civil War series. I'll have to spread that one out piecemeal over at least a year!
