During covid was probably the best time for me to get a puppy and he's slowly adjusting to being alone without chewing and 90 percent of the time able to hit the pad

Which is why you shouldn't get a dog to fix your loneliness. Dogs are social creatures unlike most people and want to be want to be left alone, so its more suitable to get a dog with multiple people at home or if your someone with enough spare time where the dog won't be alone for more then a few hours at a time.

Is it ok to leave a puppy in a small kitchen? Food and water will be at hand and the door shut. I haven’t left my puppy alone (apart from one occasion for 20 Mins) and he’s 20 weeks. He wails when left alone. Do you ignore the crying when leaving for the first couple of minutes? Do you have to use the same room when leaving them alone?

Our puppy is 2 months and we got it about a week ago. We have to work. Im not home about 8 hours and my roommate about 4 or 5 hours. The puppy is alone about 5 hours or less. She got wild and she attacks us so hard in the house with bites when we are relaxing or leaving. What should we do?

Please leave an old t shirt, pillowcase anything with ur smell! A sheet u slept on, it works on real babies to. Any babies kittens ect ♥️🐾🐾♥️🐕🦮

Crate-train the pups... They'll feel more secure... Make it large enough for accidents.

Can you do a video about the damages of leaving your dog in a cage all day or most of the day & night. My friends have a dog and keeps their dog in a cage. Yea they take them out for like 1 or 2 hours max but then right back into their cage. It's like hours on end in the cage and I hate it.

They should NOT have a pet. That is abuse and your knowing they do it is just as bad, you should report them!

I have a puppy, she’s about 6 to 7 weeks now. I had to unexpectedly do a double today at work and she’s home alone and I’m panicking. Any advice on what I should do or what I should do when it work on a regular day for eight hours?

Sometimes you just gotta say “ she’ll be aight” then shove your feeling down, that’s what I do everyday.

What should we do if we have to leave our new 8 week old puppy alone while we are at work? I am a firefighter so the days I’m working I’m gone atleast 24 hours and my fiancé has a few days of the week where she works 7 hours and we have to keep the pup in a pen …he has pee pads, food, and water.. I still feel bad on these days where he is left alone..will this be bad for his well-being in the future or am I overthinking? If we can we try to have people drop by to let him out at least once on these long days, but sometimes nobody is available

7 hours are way too long for a puppy :( I hope the dog is doing good, it's up to you as a human to think about this kind of stuff BEFORE you even get a dog

This is the only reason why i dont get my dream dog, englis bulldog. I cant leave him alone 5 days a week for 9-10h

In short, if you are a working individual or family, don't get a dog to get a cat instead.

No. Not more than a couple of hours if they are four months or younger. Also remember they don't control their bladder so well while being so young and that they need to be walked quite often throughout the day.

What am I doing here if the breeder took back my puppy 😭😭
