That is why I have a plate that says “not drunk dodging potholes”

A better option then using wood to drive on are RV leveling blocks! Some even fold into 2-3" ramps and are portable

Plan ahead of time. Do a dry run. Have a towing business contact who will tow your car regardless of how low your car is. Drive a slow as you can on unpaved/unknown roads. Zipties.

I would never lower my car to the point i have to take 5mins to get over a speedhump, why not put bags if you wana go so low................ It always looks so stupid when i see VW and BMW kids taking 5mins to maneuver over a small speedhump, i mean my bugeye is low but not so low it becomes undrivable

I don't go crazy low in my MKIII Supra, but low enough that I worry about the mudflaps. Maybe that's a dumb thing to be worried about though, it appears that the lower exhaust pipe is the lowest thing on the car (not sure if that is normal.)

After lowering my Kia Optima planning my route helped a lot 😂 cutting through the movie theater to go to Delco Tell never scared me so much until I hit a speed bump after lowering it.

Curious how much did it cost to lower it? I just bought a 2015 kia optima and its hella low. Unfortuntely where I live, the roads are especially shit so I'm almost debating on raising it. I've got aircups and i don't get why more people ain't getting them, install was relatively easy, they been super reliable so far and it's hella handy just being able to go from not being able to drive over a bump to being able to drive over it like it's nothing in 1 button press, and it's not even that espensive, the whole setup including the coilovers was about 2500 euro which is still cheaper than full air, at least for my car

I drive a slammed CTS coupe. I also live in the rural country side and have to travel on gravel roads every now and again. Cant go over 5-10 mph. My drive way alone is a 1/4 mile of gravel. Worth it for the look though 😀

If u just need a little clearance to lift your car use the notched part of the jack stand. After car is lifted with jack out the jack stand back together and use it. Be safe

stacking wood is always a life saver bro i stacked that shit so high and used a regular jack 😭😭😭

Make sure you look at what exhaust you are purchasing before slamming it cause if it hangs low like a tomei you will scrape trust me

I remember i bought a lowered s60R and had to fix it to drive it. And the first time i drove it out of my homes nieghbor hood i grazed the big ass speed bump right at the exit of my trailer park lol and cracked the oil pan. It was thankfully a slow leak and easy to fix but now i drive around this horrible speed bump by driving through the grass 😂

I feel like y'all should test out phone holders for cars like ours cause I know the apple vent holder is terrible with some moderately stiff coil overs I find it almost falling out all the time and constantly adjusting my phone holder into position

Coming from minitrucking think the air cup on coils is A pretty rad addition

You forgot engines raises and fuel cells. If your subframe is like half an inch of the ground there is no point in running a skidplate, just raise your engine above your frame and get a fuel cell. Frames are replaceable, just make sure everything important sits above it (oil pan, gearbox, fuel lines, brake lines, fuel tank). Shoutout to all the static Americans burning their cars down because they rip their fuel tanks 🫡

Do people forego the air suspension because it's just cheaper to use the static suspension? Does the static suspension provide a more desirable ride than air suspension? If you're going to slam your ride, it just seems like air suspension is the way to go.

Air cups prettymuch take over where your spring would be on your OEM suspension/coilvoer and replaces that and is able to regulate the air! Aluminium skid plates are the way...I cant tell you how many times my Z1 motorsports skid plate saved my oil pan.

Unpopular opinion on a YT like this I know but it just makes sense to me

tfw when I can't lower my car because the garage entrance at work is so steep it scrapes even slightly lowered cars

Use Hockey Pucks as Spacers for your motor mounts. It raises your engine a significant amount to avoid cracking your oil pan.( Learned the hard way lmaoo ). But that is if you really tryna glide on the floor.

Never drive in the center of the lane hug one side because the road is sloped off to the sides

new wrx's have a metal skid plate from the factory.

What about not hitting puddles? Especially ones you aren't familiar with. I've heard a lot of bad stories start with "I hit this puddle, and then..."

My 91 civic was stock height and scraped like a MF! I had to be careful over speed bumps and weird parking lot entrances and it wasn't even lowered! A buddy lowered his prelude to the height of my civic!

If you are putting a turbo on an NA car, like a 370Z, and slamming or even just a simple 1” lowering spring, make sure the turbo doesn’t hang down below the sub frame. It’ll make for a real costly experience otherwise if you’re banging your turbo off the ground, otherwise you’ll be making up curse words the world has never heard of and the police will wonder if you have Tourette’s…
