Tips for creating photos that connect with you & others
Tip for creating photos that connect with others. That's often the hardest challenge for us as photographers - creating meaningful photos that resonate with others. In this video I share some thoughts on how we can build a deeper connection with our photographs and how we can convey that meaning to those who view our work.

Thanks for watching folks! 📸🙏🏻
Thanks for this Chris. I've been wondering where to go with my photography for a while and this is really good food for thought. 👍

Thank you so much for watching and commenting Andrea, really pleased to hear this video has given you a couple of things to consider! 😊 it’s always nice to freshen things up and try something new - always helped reignite that desire and enthusiasm to go out and shoot 📸
I really appreciate your thoughts here. I'm documenting my days out etc on a website where the blog is the gallery and story. The plan is then to print annual booklets with extracts from these stories and have a couple of gallery walls at home where images get rotated depending on how I feel. And I do it only for me.

Thanks Andy, really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! I love that idea of creating a physical copy of your photography adventures - there's nothing better than seeing your photos in a tangible format! I started doing something similar last year, if I go on a trip I always make a small photobook when I get home and they make great, nostalgic coffee table books
Trying to tease out your tips was a challenge, TBH. Bullet point text shots as dividers might have helped. My own connection to a composition might not be the same for viewers. If I vacationed at a spot as a kid, thus making the image connect w/my history that might not connect w/someone else. Evoking common human emotions is more identifiable - we should connect via those emotions.

Thanks Chris, I watched your previous video also and the 2 do go together. I am thinking of staring my own website and would appreciate your insights and experience in starting a website, blog and where to display one's work to reach an audience.

Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate you taking the time 🙏🏻. Places like Squarespace are great, you could build a great looking website and blog in no time at all and it doesn’t require any web design experience
I’m thinking that you’re right. I particularly like your idea of starting an online Blog. Writing stuff down with attached pictures seems to resonate as a method to both get your personal story out and get one’s artistic vision connected to that story. Can you recommend a blog system that’s not too expensive?
