thamks man this helped alot i have a 3 inch level kit and i got new shocks but i beleive there are for stock ride not 3 inch and it bounce

Cy glad to be of assistance. I ran stock shocks in mine and it wasn’t an issue. I don’t think using stock shocks should be an issue so long as they aren’t maxed out on length. You might want to make sure your sway bar links are good

hey man since you did this how did your front end do as far as bushings and everything. did you have to replace anything else? and if so what was it and how ling did it take before the parts went out

Heavy duty ratchet straps will hold the coil in place too while jacking up the vehicle, if you don’t have anyone to help.

I put them on mine and have bad camber I put camber bolts but it won't get it straight

I guess we will never know everytime I watch videos the most important questions are not answered. I looked on reddit ppl say with only a 2 or 3 inch lift you won't need to change anything

Yes you do!! Mine is only a 3 inch lift. My control arms bump my strut now because of the lift. Now you either need a bigger arm or spindle housing with a taller neck. Or you can keep buying new tires.

Is this to lift the vehicle higher in the air or to make the spring stiffer?

It lifts up the front of the vehicle to get rid of the factory rake

do the day star spacers actually level the truck. how much did they cost you?

Yeah they brought it up about exactly level on my truck, i think i paid $60 for them on amazon.

How are you ball joints holding up since this video? How is the ride? I hear they can cause a stiff ride

I did this and it was a very bumpy and rough ride, due to the inches increased the spindle lowered constantly hitting against the spring.

@@jilsgardensllc9966 You need control arms with additional degree bushings, longer control arms, or offset ball joints to maintain alignment and avoid contact.

Wrong spring compressor you need the spring compressor that goes between the hole of the shock.good work tho💪🏿

It’s not the wrong compressor, it’s just not the best compressor. I’ve only used two spring compressors, this one and a wall mounted strut compressor at a shop i used to work at.

I used spring rubber spacers, they are the. Cheap 10 dollar ones. I put some in the back.. but the springs in the front are too small, I can't fit them in.. can anyone help??

@@pedroornelas1962 Why are you trying to put spacer's in a grand marquis, for one thing? also, you need to compress the spring to get the spacer on top.

@@kyle-kelliher my friend took it to the tire shop to put 17s, they didn't fit cuz car was lowered. And we're using the rubber blocks to put between the springs, or you think setting the spacers on top of the spring or bottom, is better???

They have to be on top. You should just put it back to stock or choose a smaller sidewalk tire. Those cars came with 17’s on them in later years.

why would one side sit higher my driver side sits slightly higher than passenger have same kit all new suspension nd shocks

It’s not really the same. The 1988 trucks have a twin beam system, with no upper control arms. I did one on those trucks before and it was easier however there is no way to correct the positive camber angle when you do it since it’s a beam.
