    I recommend using something like a hardhat lanyard attached to the goggles and the firmly clamp it to your collar or shoulder. I was wearing my goggle on my head when I bent over to pick something up off the ground. Fortunately, I felt the goggles slip and was able to catch them just before they hit the concrete. Also, you can ziptie something like an ID card clip to your power cord to keep the wire close to your body so that it does not snag on objects.

    Facts! Also wanted to let you guys know, I tested dozens of DJI antennas and found the “swr” is much better at lower channels so if you have a choice fly on channels 1 or 2 to get the strongest signal. Also if you’re using antenna extensions to go from the mmcx to rp sma adapters make sure you purchase the dji ones. The little braided white and gold/copper ones from amazon have very poor performance. The solid black dji extensions kept the signal much better. I can’t take too much credit my buddy is an RF Engineer 🙏

    Also, only use a clean and very soft cloth on the screens. My eyelashes touch my screens and dirt/oil collects on our eyelashes so I often have marks I need to wipe off to see better. I read that the screens have zero protection from scratches on them.

    I'm trying to understand the optics of the V2 goggles. I could not see distant objects or near objects. I have gotten cataract surgery which fully corrected my sight far away but I need reading glasses. I expected to need the reading glasses with the goggles but to my surprise the image is virtually crystal clear. Since the goggles are only 2 or so inches from my face, why don't i need reading glasses?

  • @5zero7RC

    @5zero7RC

    The lenses in the goggles make the screen appear to be farther from your eyes than they really are. I forget exactly how far it is, but your eyes will feel like the image is 5 or 6 feet away instead of 2 inches.

    The upgraded DJI foam is THE solution. I did use the 3D printed shims briefly, but that option sucks compared to the Upgraded DJI Foam. It is sooo nice. ZERO light leak, and I have a very narrow face. They should have included it with the V2's and FPV drone kit. As for the diopters, I bought a set a year ago, and love them. I tried to get them for the V2's as well(I bought the DJI FPV drone), but even the DJI website says: "not available in your region"??? Some people are changing $50+ on Amazon and Ebay. I paid $20 when they were available.

  • @5zero7RC

    @@olivierf.4931 Ah, that's because of the camera you have. Not all DJI cameras can do low latency mode. If you have something like the nebula nano or polar camera, you can't do low latency mode. When you are in 50Mbps mode, you should get channel 1,2,3, and 8. In 25mbps mode you should get all 8 ( if you are in the USA or have done the FCC hack. ) I know some people have had to force a reset to defaults on the goggles and re-apply a firmware update to get all the channels to show up.

Even if they don't I don't think I would bother as long as I it works :-) I just want to get the best image possible as everybody. Anyway thanks a lot for you precise infos.
