We call the Layback "Himmelspirouette" in Germany, it means "sky spin" in english :)

Uschi-Olga Strumpf i Sweden too😂
I’m nowhere near this level to try these spins yet, but I absolutely love the layback spin. It’s so elegant
I loved this video! I’ve never heard of the magnets idea - I can’t wait to try it out on the ice! Also, I was watching your junior short program vid from sectionals 2020 and you mentioned that you found a way to relax for competition. Headspace and nerves were something that I struggled with *a lot* before I stopped competing (thinking of doing it again) so I’d love to request that video idea if you’d be willing to talk about it! 💕
I'm starting skating in two months and couldn't be more stoked!! Since I'm not on the ice yet, I've been using your vids as my motivation and mini lessons. Thank you so much for your work!!
I’d really like to know how she doesn’t accidentally slice up her hands during the haircutter to the beilmann. Also, that purpl-ish dress is so pretty!
how do I not travel in layback spins??? I always travel...
I’m not even doing laybacks yet, but I’m watching anyway because I love Katie ( and when I do start I’ll have some tips in the back of my head)
Are you going to be a coach after college? You present so well!
This video was so helpful 💗
This helped so much thank you♥️
Your layback looks sooo great! Do you close your eyes during the layback? Because everytime I tried to do one I was so dizzy that I couldn't keep more than like 4 revolutions
I’m having trouble staying on the ball of the foot and I travel alot

Your spins are sooooo fast!
Hey is it my imagination or the layback changed a lot from lets sasha Cohen days to Alina Zagitova.? Also the donut didnt existe with Sasha Cohen and Michelle Kwan days right? And one Last question Why sakers have stoped the single beautiful line where they keep one leg up for quite some time
İ love uuuu
How old were you when you started skating katie?
What’s the reason for the way you enter into the spin?

It’s worth more points because it’s a difficult entrance :)

It’s an illusion, a difficult entrance, you can do an illusion on q lot the spins, like the sit spin, catch, camel base and layback. You can decide to not do it, but most people do. Hope I helped :)
I don't think I can still learn to figure skate I'm too big

I believe in you no matter who you are you can skate, the range of people who skate goes all the way from 3 year olds to 80 year olds everyone of all shapes and sizes skates they just aren't shown for some reason and the media has made it seem like you have to be a certain way or a certain age and that is not true at all. You've got this I believe in you 🥰😎

I don’t know if by too big you mean age or size, but in either case, skating is for everyone! I didn’t get to step on the ice for the first time until I was 20. I’m definitely curvy and a much larger person than most figure skaters (I wear some plus sized clothes) but I’ve been an athlete my entire life. I fell in love with skating as soon as I started. If you want to skate, you can! There is a separate skating program for Adults in the United States, which is catered towards people who started skating (or returned to skating) as grown ups and it’s super helpful and motivating! I wish you all the best! The ice is such a magical and wonderful place, I hope you can enjoy it. 💕⛸
