I don't know about phoenixphire, but I use 10ml oral dosage syringes with a cap. You can get multipacks for cheap, like this one: www.amazon.com/Pack-10ml-Medication-Syringes-Needle/dp/B01HDXZR5E/ As long as you get all the air out of it (push the plunger until nothing but E6000 is left inside) and put the cap on, it should keep just as well as it does in its original tube. I also recommend keeping it out of direct light (in a drawer or box). I don't know for sure that E6000 is UV sensitive, but the nature of its tube suggests it might be, as many adhesives are.

@@yolandaholly9848 most likely a 3cc syringe will do the trick, and yes they come with covers for the top. Just make sure you clean the tip with alcohol before applying the cover. You can get syringes at animal feed store(not a Petco or PetSmart) if you have on near you👍.

you do not judge toxicity by whether you can smell it ... there are fumes that offgas into your skin, your lungs and thereby your organs ... read the label and pay attention accordingly; work outside as much as possible or at least open the windows. I can feel the toxicity on my tongue, even fumes from so called safe glues. Very important, its a silent toxic in many cases, no signs.

If you let the glue set for about an hour, you can return with tweezers and just pluck off the escaped glue from the filigree. If you try to wipe it off, it makes a big mess.

I am planning on using E6000 for a project, but after reading about it's toxicity, I bought a 1/2 face respirator mask with an appropriate filter (3M 6001 organic vapor) and plan on using in my garage with an open door. If you're smelling that bad smell, you're exposed to the vapor. If after use you feel a headache, nausea, dizziness, confusion or blurred vision, you don't have adequate ventilation. If you're doing regular, daily crafting with this stuff, consider using a different, less toxic glue. ESPECIALLY if you have any respiratory issues.

Thank you so much for making a video that finally told me what glue to use. I currently have plans to make one of my sisters a special pendant using a very similar pendant to the one you have in this clip at 6:05 at the very top of the video clip. I intend to glue a large red gem stone to it because the pendant doesn't have prongs to hold it down. Would you suggest using the E-6000 to do?

That's a great tip but, my problem is that once I close the tube of glue not matter what I do it dries out. I even seal it with Saran Wrap, and when I ready to use it again is dry. I have to use an ice pick to dig out all the dry glue from the top.

Hi Sue, Love the idea of the plastic bag for E6000 - how do you stop the flow between crafts, so I don't have to keep throwing out unused glue? Also, I heard that googone makes great cleanup of E6000 around your jewelry. How would I clean up the excess glue so it doesn't look all glue-y at the joint? (i.e. Filigree ring with steampunk items like watch movements, glued to the top of the shank.) The glue will come thru the filigree, toward the finger, how to clean excess?
