Tiny, adorable, lives in the exact worst place for an amphibian, and will win a staredown with many different manifestations of death and terror in sequence during an evening stroll before becoming a comparable nightmare to a termite colony for its midnight snack. ... Also sounds like a dog toy. An exceptionally adorable dog toy. With a temper. Seriously, Angry Birds DLC that.

That gulp of relief after the scorpion walked away was priceless!

@@last1second Right. I'm no expert, but it's common for productions of all types to add in sound effects after the fact. As you can imagine, it's probably hard to catch all the little sounds when filming nature like this.

That scene with the scorpion looked almost like a stand off, luckily for the scorpion, he knew better than to mess with sir FROGGO, terrorizer of the desert and gentleman of the night.

We need an entire web series on this fellow gentleman😭🙏🏼

The fact that the camera crew manage to zoom the lenses right into the frog and scorpion's face is amazing.

1. extremely good camaras that can zoom really really far 2. lying down with the camara pointed at a thing for hours until something interesting happens 3. they don't write the scripts or anything until after they've captured the footage, so whatever good stuff they are able to get is what we see

There are a lot of ways to do these type of shooting, you can record separate footage at different settings then merge them together

I would say his main defense with the ability to inflate himself which makes the snake not only have a problem getting a hold of him but practically impossible to try to swallow

That standoff between the frog and the scorpion needs The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly theme and it's perfect

It's all staged. The lighting is made to resemble moon light but it's actually studio lights. The animals are planted for the situation given. Yes this most likely does happen in the wild and is scientifically accurate but to capture it so precisely it has to be staged.
