Yeah, I am usually a fan of these tiny Epic Games. Not so much this one though
I just picked this up and have been trying to get my brain wrapped around it. I think its pretty fun and really keeps you busy in solo mode.

you just said that the bot cannot perform rune’s action other than the four you listed, than proceeded to perform one of the forbidden.
You started era 1 with 5 cards. You should only have 4. You set up 5 piles of 3 and pick one card from 4 piles and the remaining 3 are added to the bot’s deck unseen.
