Re the labels on the baskets--since yours are round you could hang a label on each basket and then turn the basket so the label's out of sight. Then when you're reaching up, just turn the basket around again to read the label. :)

Alexandra, instead of placing a bumper on your shoe cabinet try this alternative. There is a type of stop that goes on the top hinge of your door with a rubber end that will stop at the wall. It is adjustable in how far it will project out. I just fitted one on a coat closet door to prevent it hitting a new piece of furniture. I purchased mine at Home Dep.

The only downside of this is if you need the door to swing open a little wider sometimes to move something bulky into it. Unless it is as easy as just moving the shoe cabinet, I would do the bumper on the shoe cabinet.

The tile is definitely not lined up properly, you shouldn't be able to see where each piece starts/ends, it should be seamless.

Yeah, it looks….bad. Seeing that everyday would drive me crazy. It also drives me nuts that the stair runner pattern doesn’t line up on each step. But, apparently things like that don’t bother AG because the same thing occurred in the backsplash tile in one of her kitchen makeovers too.

In older homes it's hard to line things up because measurements were not exact when it was made and things shift over time...my home is 120 years old balancing on the og tree stumps and nothing is even..you just do your best and adjust as you can..definitely not for the ocd lifestyle though...drives my husband nuts but I enjoy the chaos☺💚

@@agathechllt she mentioned in the video they'll be doing touch-ups. This happens all the time -- you do a project, it all looks fine. Then the next day you set it up and find your mistakes. I do it in weaving also. Weave carefully, take my cloth off the loom, and whoops, there's a mistake. Part of the standard finishing for a woven piece is correcting the mistakes, which I do before I wash, hem, etc.

Love the result! Except maybe a little more attention to detail with the tiles? It's an old apartment and the tiles would've looked great with an older style/ classic pattern in them, or a border or feature tile. It would have made more sense near the staircase imo. All black makes it look a bit like the floor in a public area, as much as i love black. Still love your work though x

It means we don’t take the insulated bags on trips that won’t need them 😊

One thing about F&B colors I've noticed is that they look almost totally different depending on the time of day & lighting. The tile option is cute but it reminds me of a bathroom, that's probably just me! The application however is horrid, not your fault at all of course. It's misaligned, crooked and it looks bubbly? Not sure how to say this properly but it looks like it wasn't pressed on hard enough?? There's air trapped underneath or something. The outside lines are not clean and smooth as they should be and I'm not even that knowledgable on this, it just looks off and kinda sloppy which is a shame. However when everything comes together it doesn't draw as much attention so ultimately as long as you guys are happy that's enough. Loved all the little details and changes! Can't wait for the kitchen reno :)

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m just kinda over framed prints. Lately, I’ve been focusing on a variety of different artwork (canvas, watercolor, vintage, etc)

Overall, I’m loving what you’ve done with your entry. I really want your entry for my house! I loved the way the original green looked on the shoe cabinet, along with its contrast to the brown wood. So, I was bummed you changed the color and still kept the brown wood topper. But it works and the color makes a lot more sense as a color to repeat throughout your house. Love the idea from another viewer here in the comments to connect the bumper to the top of your door instead of sticking it on your shoe cabinet. Also, now I am really interested in shopping at Desenio! Never heard of it before.

The space looks clean and welcoming. It is so pleasant to feel refreshed rather than overwhelmed by clutter at your front door. I would absolutely invest in a Welcome mat as it will keep your stairs and carpet much cleaner and keep people from bringing dirt and mud into the house. I think organizing the entryway area by how often items are used is a solid strategy. Since I ride almost every day, my unsightly bike helmet is out on the rack. Also, I love the idea of under bed storage boxes or other storage for things that are out of season. I actually use a a pretty trunk for this at the foot of my bed. It doubles as a bench and it works for me! I do not love the under bed boxes on top of your storage cabinets in the bedroom. It would be be be nice to see maybe a basket or two or some plant life up there instead.

Because he knows the place is featured on KZread and will probably cost twice as much to rent after they move out

I hate the penny tile and that one off center is driving me nuts but all in all its is soo cute and welcoming you are amazing. Im suprised you didn't use more pop tiles for that spot.

This video is applicable for me. I have thought of getting the taller show storage cabinet. The underbid storage got my attention. Figured, I'll just use my bed risers and store luggage under the bed. It hasn't really had a home.

Super fun!! Thoughts: The frames should have been black. The white blends into the wall too much. I also think the stained glass is so stunning. I would have loved to see you do something a bit more warm to compliment the style of the apartment. That’s what I enjoy about rentals is being able to try out different styles and step out of my comfort zones. Cute though!!❤️

Love this makeover! Back in the day, we called this space a vestibule, but I suppose that term is dated. I really like the floor, but am wandering about it showing dirt from the outside. Will you be using a water/weatherproof rug? The shoe cabinet fits perfectly right there, love the color, and that mirror! Great solution for your tote bag problem. My Mom always called it our "bag of bags"! The artwork is the perfect finishing touch! Beautiful job and design, as aleays. 💙

I love how your design style is evolving a little. Not quite as pink and pom pom heavy. Though I love those things too! This feels more eclectic and rich though. Not rich as in wealthy, but rich as in interesting and cozy and intentional.
