Tiny Baits finally get me some fish!

Ойын-сауық

Graeme gets into a bit of fishing action on his first attempt at the upstream stretch of his local river...it’s been a while coming and he seems to have sacked the idea of staying into the dark and cold just to get more Crayfish chewing his baits. He uses tiny fish baits and at first believes they might only be suitable for Perch, but he soon finds the River Pike are taking a liking to them as he works his way downstream. Then it’s into the "Random" film section, where he drops in to see Grant at "Tackle Up" to get some beginners tips on drop shotting for beginners. Enjoy...

    Correct...its my hobby...I have a lot of Country stuff to go up over the next month or so,which I took a lot of trouble to get,and a fair bit of travelling,but I really enjoyed getting all the footage...it will never get big views as youngsters probably won't have a clue what its about. But I had to film it. If I don't record it some of the older stuff will be gone forever...And we have a lot of "mature" viewers that certainly enjoy it and find it quite relaxing. And because I am not shackled to any sponsor I can edit to my heart's content...Happy Days....

    Have to agree with @shaunik26, no idea what Graeme makes from making these great films for KZread. Do I care, no. Just glad he does. If you enjoy it then so so either way. Not too hard is it?

    I'm 52. Me and my 7 year old often listen to something on KZread to help send him off to sleep. We try counting sheep, it doesn't work, we try listening to documentaries about Einstein or astronomy and it doesn't work he says it's too interesting. So I say what about Graham? ... And he says but Graham's interesting!! he's not boring!! ... And I just say yes he's interesting but unlike the science stuff Graham is relaxing. And he agrees, and that's it, off to sleep he goes (sometimes me too) .... I'd take all that as a massive compliment!

    Watching this mans pike fishing videos for years a real inspiration 🙌 , the twitching spratts method is a game changer , we call it wobbling in ireland and we tend to use Smelt for the most part. The only method to use in competition fishing!

    Since almost 10 years I'm watching your "twitching-spratts-for-pike' videos (plus your float fishing stuff) and the things I' ve learned from you, took my fishing to a much higher level. Thank you so much, Graeme, for your videos and please keep on filming! Best regards from the very south of Germany...

    Learn so much from your channel Graeme, I probably wouldn’t have tried some of those snagy looking spots, but you showed with the right method it is possible to winkle a few fish out. Thanks Graeme you take care 👍🎣🎣

    During my lifetime, I've often visited isolated areas away from rivers, i.e., up in the hills in various parts of the UK. In many of the areas, there had been some lakes high above sea level. My question is this: In these lakes, how do fish get into them? I understand that someone who reads this may think I'm thick, I can't think that someone would go to the trouble of carrying live fish such distances to put them in these isolated lakes. Maybe there is a logical answer, but it does make me curious.

    Nice video Greame, like your technique, seems like twiching dead bait is more effective than lures but i do understand that it is definitely a case in wintery months, well done pal, there is decades of knowledge and experience contained in that short video

    Question If you have never fished for pike before. Are they easy to handle

  • @TAFishing

    @TAFishing

    5 ай бұрын

    for a beginner I would say....Best to get some instruction from a club of tackle shop first. My suggestion would be to avoid treble hooks as a beginner,when a Pike twists in the net its a nightmare of danger...barbed hooks and Pike teeth. I am always more worried about getting a hook in my hand more than being bitten by a Pike. Or better still try fishing with someone who has had experience of unhooking them.
