@@darklyclad It's a cultural thing. Men are supposed to be stalwart, brave and fearless leaders. I believe it all starts with "boys don't cry," then it goes downhill from there. We aren't supposed to reveal our true feelings, because it might cause panic and fear in those around us, typically children and women. Myself, I'm a grown-ass man, a great grandfather, no less - and I have waaaay too much empathy for a man to have, so I've been led to believe all my life. It's tough, sometimes, when you have to reign in those heart-numbing feels because it isn't "manly."

@@lisa-cw5wn It's not good for long periods of time. It can restrict blood flow. The longer a horse is down the more dangerous and damaging it can be. That is why horses usually stand up or lay with there side off the ground and head up. This is also why when a horse sick or onjured 'goes down' it is imperative that it stands up as soon as possible.

The Little Duck was my favorite storybook as a child. I was drawn to the cuteness and intelligence of animals and this story was so cute....Thank u Dodo for sharing many wonderful animal stories around the world....

@@lady7 If a human mother rejected her human baby in such a way that it was ‘dangerous’ to the baby, as was the situation between Luna and her mother, as described by the owner, would you want that human baby remaining in the ‘care’ of a possibly abusive and dangerous mother?

I can’t even fathom why anyone would tap the thumbs down. Seriously?!!! How could anything in this story be a thumbs down. Come on! Luna is precious. Thank you to the beautiful family who took Luna into their home and raised her and better yet, introduced her back into her own but still allowed the close knit relationships to remain with Cooper and the rest of the family pets. So awesome. Great story indeed.

It is probably how they let her stand up on them or hug them. It works for them, but people that do not get this also do the same with full size horses. It really scary when a horse does this. The problem is the average joe does not get this is not something to do. So giving it a thumbs down is easier then trying to explain why.

Because a horse has it horse-needs even though it is small. They have go be able to see and touch other horses, learn the "horse-language" from other horses out in the field, learn to graze and get their instinctive behavioral needs fulfilled. They have the same instincts and needs doesnt matter how small they are. If they don't get to be with other horses just humans or dogs while growing up they often get problems. Thats the sad thing about these mini-horses, they are so small and cute that people think they don't have the same needs as a regular size horse. Luna is super cute and although seem go have a good life but speaking in general. ❤

I love seeing love. Watching different species interact in loving ways with each other, just proves that to kindred spirits, the physical form you appear in, means nothing.

My cat was with dogs for the first couple years of her life and she took on a lot of traits like being able to do tricks and she comes when I Whistle. It's interesting how other animals can pick up how to behave by dogs. I heard the opposite where one dog and a house full of cats will behave more like a cat it's cute interesting but I guess not a surprise!

My little rescue dog was a female, but while growing up she had only been around male dogs. So, when she'd go pee she'd hike her leg like the male dogs did! It was so funny to watch her!

My cat Charlie who I found as a tiny kitten on the side of the road acted alot like a dog too...even tho we had cats AND dogs at the time. It was my doggie Chaunci who allowed him to snuggle up with her right away lol...the cats just ignored him...being cats and all. I could not trust that kitty to just stick around the house because he would just follow ppl down the street...and he would keep following them for blocks so I had to take him with me on our dog walks to keep him safe. He went to parks and the beach and he loved it! I got so many calls tho..."Your cat is here at Blockbuster sitting on the counter" or "Your cat is following me here on Valparaiso ave" which was 6 blocks away. He was an absolute character. I loved that damn cat!!!

when you watch a clip like this, it just brightens the day and for a moment, you forget all about the world !

It’s unfortunate that people breed their horses for dwarfism but I’m glad there are people out there that take care of them.

She looks quite happy running around with the other horses. You gotta remember that they're not people and they prioritize different things than us. I'm 100% confident that she prefers living outside, even though her life inside was also great, it just wasn't natural for her.

She’s the teenage daughter that wants to look cool with her friends (other mini horses) but loves being home playing dolls with her siblings.
