I once saw a neighbour's kitten get caught in the wedge of a bottom hung window she tried to escape from. It was an upper floor flat and the owners weren't home, so we watched the kitten struggle in horror. Thankfully, a young man was able to pull himself up to the balcony and free the kitten (getting thoroughly peed on in the process). Kitten-proof your house!!!

In my experience fostering, there's no such thing as "kitten proof". Clothing, tables, cabinets, plants... they fall or get caught everywhere and if you're not nearby when it happens, you could come home too late. I uses to have a empty room with nothing but cushions and toys where they would be until big enough to get freedom around.

​@@isasantos8577 While I agree that kittens can cause havoc with literally anything, there are still a ton of common sense things you can do / purchase to make the kitten's environment less dangerous. Securing windows, or at least monitoring an open window that your kitten will try to jump out of, for example.

@@isasantos8577 i kitten proofed my house and haven’t had any accidents yet! the only one i did have was when my dad opened the oven, and she put her two front paws on the door before i could catch her. besides that, there are tons of things you can do to prevent injury when you aren’t home to see it happen. putting knockable items on high, unreachable shelves, keeping closets closed, saying goodbye to lamps or objects on the night stand, child proofing cabinets/drawers, securing furniture, never leaving out china or glasses, etc.

usually adults are no different than kids when it comes to bad news. If you work in a field where bad news can often be delivered or its not an ideal place to be. Adults need just as much compassion. Sometimes adults can be worse than kids and needs lots of TLC.

Those children surely won't be wonderful parents. Hopefully, they won't be parents at all, who would give their children strokes by clamping their children's necks in folding tables for 3 hours.

@@wackyvorlon This kitten nearly died by strangulation. Why are they letting a 2 to 3 month kitten climb trees in their yard, this is dangerous. The father even said they had to get help to get her down from tree. They should keep kitten inside or outside on a leash. I dont want anything bad to happen to this kitten again. NOW do you understand ????

Awe lil coco now has 8 lives left, wonder how she got herself stuck. Glad she pulled through!

Wonderful show of empathy from everyone involved, from the nurse rubbing Coco as she got oxygen, to the doctor and the dad and the kids. Haven’t seen anyone else say so yet in the comments, I think it’s great that the dad thought so much of his children’s feelings

the friend of the little girl was rubbing her shoulder, what a great friend, be with her in difficult moments. moments like that return my hope in humanity.

When my cat was a kitten, she got her neck stuck in the rungs of our kitchen chairs and almost strangled herself. Luckily I was nearby and heard and saw what was happening immediately. I had to put tshirts on the backs of the chairs until she got big enough to not get her head in between the rungs. She was super mischievous as well, the little stinker.

I love how Robert wasted no time in getting Coco seen by Dr. Chris. 😇The whole family was lovely.

Great to see Coco responding to treatment and managing to recover from the unfortunate accident with the table. There's no question that Coco has a very loving family and that should help massively in her full recovery.

Ikr i tore up when she cried

I lost a kitten to a similar situation. I still beat myself over it after >6 years. I often wonder if anything could've been done had I caught it sooner, but unfortunately it happened during the night and no amount of foresight could've helped. Me and my family really had no idea something like this could even be possible, much like these owners. A lesson learned, I guess... He was one in a litter of six, and when I entered the room I immediately felt like something was off, and noticed him stuck in the V of the legs of a chair instantly, even if that's a spot no one would've thought to look. RIP Red. All his brothers and sisters found loving homes, and one of them is still with me. Seeing Coco recover feels like closure

I love the fact that even tho it didn't look the best they semi changed their table to stop this horrible accident happene again and it just shows how good of a home coco has and all the love they have for coco and that the owners are amazing eith their pets

I would also say that you should kitten proof (and cat proof your home) to the best of your ability. Kittens are basically the equivalent of human babies with the death defying acts, ability to get to awkward spaces and wanting to explore the world with their mouths. Always just locked kittens in their own kitten safe room when away from home until they got older. And locked new cats in cat safe rooms until we figured out what dangers they were prone to getting into. We had to train a cat out of eating electrical wires so leaving him out before realizing he was an idiot would have been very bad.

Dr. Chris has such compassion an trys until he gets it right. 👏 I love watching his TV show. God bless him. We need more vets with such compassion.

I have a bunny named Coco. This made me tear up. Pets are so precious ❤

This show reminds me of the bright side of humanity. We are capable of so much darkness and so much light.

This is the first time I stumbled across Bondi Vet, and as someone who has trypanophobia(aka fear of needles), I'm amazed and really thankful that they censored needles. I haven't seen other medical shows do that, I always physically had to look away from the video, and I never even considered the possibility of blurring the needle. Thank you for your amazing work as a vet, and looking out not just for pets, but people like me aswell.

Our black cat is the same. Adventurous to the point of crazy. She's now 20 months old and still behaves like a young kitten. And she wakes me up at 3-4am every day with her nonsense. Seeing Coco took me back to when our Nora was much smaller. So glad that Coco made it.

I keep having to pause this to wipe away tears 🥺 If this was my baby I would be an absolute wreck until I got positive news 😢 Poor tiny girl ❤

It was an accident, they can hurt themselves on many things unfortunately

I fast forwarded to the end because my anxiety for Cocos wellbeing was killing me. I am so happy it turned out well in the end.

I rescued a kitten that was stuck in a fence once.

My kitten is 4 months old and he has never chewed the treats I give him. He swallows them so fast, yet he does chew his food. It's so strange, but he loves those treats so much that he just cant eat them fast enough!
