This woman really has big inspiration on my life..she went through so much as a child, abandoned by her parents, raised by her grandmother, met Ike and was abused for over 17 years..she got tired of it, went into Buddhism and divorced him..moved on healed herself and started her career back up she's not only an inspiration to black women but to all women..she is the reason women are knowing their worth.❤ Thank you Tina. You will forever be missed

That chorus is truly one of the most memorable and classic pop melodies of all time. Really such a defining sound, the quintessential 80s big chorus sections. It's often used as a cliché, but in this case it is true: tracks like this are truly legendary. The REALLY wild part is, this was almost 40 years ago. Time flies. RIP

I just watched the movie "What's love got to do with it" and it almost brought me to tears. Last time I seen it I was 12 years old, watching it again at 38 years old. It hits completely different. RIP Tina and Ike 🙏🏿

RIP Tina I always loved your music; even when I younger I would listen to 60 or 70 music, til this day I am still listening music it’s so beautiful and relaxing.❤
I was so blessed to see Tina live in 2000 (Twenty Four Seven tour) in Greensboro, NC (USA) and in 2008 (50th anniversary/farewell tour) in Washington DC. She was incredible as anyone who saw her live can attest. I guess I just assumed she would live forever because she was so strong and so resilient.

Kind of mad I did not put my metalhead pride to the side and go to her concerts. That’s usually the first thing you hear about this legend: a great concert always. She added a lot of rock to her music. RIP!
