Welcome to the Letterman KZread Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

There is nothing wrong with lipsynching on a TV show. Its when you do it when you're supposed to be singing LIVE at a show where people have paid money to hear you perform LIVE that its absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! I remember seeing this the night it aired way back then. Her Mick impersonation is as spot on hilarious now as it was then. Tina was among the best singers fronting a soul, R&B, or Rock & Roll band. She was as good as any of them. Theres a reason she was known as The Queen or Rock & Roll. As a testament to her greatness, her big comeback with Private Dancer came when she was 45 years old. A "comeback" that successful for an artist at that age had never really been accomplished before in Rock & Roll. By anyone, man or woman. Certainly not to that level
