I never understood why this one never became one of Tina's mega hits (rarely performed live). I think it's one of her best.

You are correct, but Grammy winner doesn't a "hit" make. It wasn't promoted properly.

Michael K. I agree!!! This song's got *everything* - it just screams TINA.

Without doubt, this is one of Tina's best songs, in my opinion, better than Private Dancer or The Best. Wish we would witness more live sessions of this song

The version she released was not as good as the one from the movie for some reason.

It's crazy that this song won Tina a grammy but never got the true recognition it deserve. The lyrics really hits hard. "They always said that the living would envy the dead"... The way this world is going...

Tina, in my opinion, the best female vocalist ever. Really put her self into the music. I never got to be at one of her concerts, my loss. This never gets old, great song.

i didn't go to very many concerts at all but i saw tina twice at the top of her career. she did not disappoint. great, great performances. at the second one i was near the front and made eye contact with her often. really amazing experience. seize the day, my friend!

This is the best version of this song I’ve ever heard. The album release was so disappointing. Wrong tempo, wrong key. I think George Miller suggested it be changed for the Thunderdome credits so it would sound more like this. Such a bad ass song.

Nope, that was an early version. The one on the soundtrack was done after to match the glossy production of "We Don't Need Another Hero." If you want to hear a good one, the 12" Club Mix is pretty great. Based on the LP version, but heavily remixed. Additional tracks and seriously amped up.

Should of been a mega hit and a rock anthem. This song rocked. Thank-you Tina Turner Undisputed Queen of Rock.
