She was so loved here in australia , "SImply the best" charted twice here , the 2nd time was to promote our rugby league, it was so successful she teamed up with an australian singer Jimmy Barnes to record a new version and that went to 14 on the australian charts in 1992. We will miss her. RIP Tina , you were simply the best.

I have wonderful memories of me and my sisters watching Tina on various shows and dancing along like Tina as if we could, but what an impact she had on all of us. What a beautiful lady she was. She was, simply the best.

So sorry to hear of Miss Turner's passing. She truly was one of a kind. If you have not seen her video of Missing You, check it out You will see why people refer to her legs as the best gams in show business. She danced like nobodies business. Rest In Peace Miss Turner.

I was 14 when Proud Mary came out, and even though I was a square little white kid, she reached me! Opened my mind for my future LOVE of FUNK! And when I saw her as “The Acid Queen” in Tommy I was STOKED!!! Then came her success in the 80. She gave me a reason to turn on the radio. Thank you for the music and your great example!

Hey @SoulTrainBro. Bittersweet to see you again...but thanks for the Tina tribute, and the shout out. I saw Tina play live at Live Aid in 1985 with Mick Jagger, in Philly....that was very special. Tina had so much energy and passion....and later in her career she reinvented herself and rocketed back to the top. She will be hugely missed. RIP. TY, Sir. Ernie

Loved her

I only got to see Tina perform once, almost 50 years ago when she was still with Ike. She had such an impact on me that I still have vivid memories of her performance. She was such an incredible woman, such an incredible artist. RIP Tina. Thanks for posting a tribute to her.
