She's such a presence on a stage. I remember the one time I saw her live, she'd come to this little place I grew up, with an audience of barely forty people. I remember she said that, contrary to what most people thought, she found the big concerts, where people talk among themselves and order beers while she's playing, a lot more anti-climatic than smaller, fully attentive audiences like we were. She went on to play that exact song, enthralling us with her lyrics, music and sheer presence.

She's such a presence on a stage. I remember the one time I saw her, she came to this little place in Kickapoo where I grew up. We were barely forty people I think, but she said that it was actually more anti-climatic on big stages where the audience would talk among themselves, than to have to perform for such a small audience. Her voice, her music, her presence upon that stage... I doubt I'll ever forget it.
