Great look at the watch, I agree that it's a bit annoying to go through all the functions all the time, but I think it's great that you can hide what you don't need.

I've worn this watch for nearly a decade. Awesome, but the band breaks and is irreplaceable. Timex seems to be out of replacements too. I've sent it in for repair three times throughout the years. Timex has a winner here, but they haven't refreshed it.

Best freakin digital watch I've ever bought. It has survived being summered in water a couple times, darn dog constantly chewing on it while its on my arm. Stop thinking about it and seriously just buy this watch. I love the look of it and the compass works well too. Personally this looks way better than any of the Casio's too. This has a heavy duty look to it, doesn't look like some toy.

That is a nice looking watch but I prefer the bulkier look of the Timex. But the obvious downside would be its $100 more than the Timex and has 30m water resistance compared to Timex's 200m. Still thanks for sharing that because I like the look and I'll keep that in mind, hopefully it drops in price.

That is unusual. Mine is holding up great and my dog likes to annoyingly chew on it from time to time. I've had mine for about at least two years. Now if they can just take this and turn it into a smart watch.

Is there a replacement available for the original watch strap?

I just did a video on changing the band. The bands tend to break after 1.5 yrs.

Hello dear man I watched your videos and at the end I bought this watch I wanted to replace my old G-Shock I got older and my eyesight at the age of 50 are no longer as sharp as in the past, The display of numbers At G Shock is Small compared to the Timex, I pressed the button for the light at Timex And I got a shock,The lighting is very weak compared to the G Shock, Is any of this model watches have Very low light? Or I got a new watch With low battery Thank you very much and I want to know what you think about it.

Sorry so late but that battery is nearly dead...change it out with a fresh 1620 energizer or Duracell and it will almost blind you in total darkness.

I bought this watch. Enjoyed wearing on my wrist . But the worst thing about this is it's strap that was broken n Timex don't have any replacement . I don't recommend this watch to buy.

You're right the negative dial is hard to read. check out my two sunno video much better watches than this. G shock rangeman video coming in next few day's.

I have had my Timex Expedition Shock watch for about three years. Warning for anyone wanting to replace the wrist band. My wirst bank broke off at the middle of the band. This was not related to weak or malfunctioning pins or buckles. Unlike other Timex wrist bands this one can not be replaced on this model. Customer must buy a new watch to remedy the repair. So disappointed that the Timex website does not offer the part. I am now looking to see if G-Shock wrist watches are better designed to be easy to replace wrist bands. Buy beware and consider before buying. Otherwise the watch was fine. It was cheaper then G-Shock name brand.

Great watch while the band lasted...all of 1.5 years. It's a great looking piece, works great, love the olive green color, it's large but lightweight...loved everything about it until the damn band broke off...under two years of use. Can't replace the band. The watch, while still working great...is now useless to me. I've called Timex, horrible customer service. No more Timex watches for me. Will be ordering a Casio Men's SGW300HB-3AVCF Multi-Function Sport Watch with Green Nylon Band (which is replaceable)...and unlike the Timex Expedition, the Casio has an altimeter/barometer, and its only $40 at Amazon. Suunto is obviously superior to both of these, but they are more expensive and some models can be rather fragile, but they are beautiful.

Galactusz007 I just purchased a perfect replacement band direct from Timex for $6.00. Now I'm wondering how the heck to actually do the replacement. I thought I'll I'd have to do was take out the four anchor screws and that would be that.... But I find there is band pins anchoring that are embedded in the band.....Hard to remove. any suggestions?. .. But if you need the band call Timex direct and just know the model number : Timex Men's T49612 Expedition Shock ......EC

I already had bad customer service before with Timex, I'm through with that company. I'm not ever calling them or buying a Timex again. I decided to spend a little more and got me a proper watch, the Casio Pro Trek 3500... www.amazon.com/Casio-PRW-3500-1CR-Atomic-Resin-Digital/dp/B00U17VQPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487789165&sr=8-1&keywords=Casio+3500 What a spectacular watch. It not only looks awesome, but it's solar-power. It has triple sensors. Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer...and a kickass compass. The bezel can be rotated. 200 meter resistant too. I bought it new off eBay from a seller who sold it for $140 with a slightly damaged box. But it's still a steal for $200. It smokes the Timex Expedition outta the water. Its digital display is also much better to read than the Expedition. It also weighs less. While it's a large watch, you don't even feel it on your wrist. I highly recommend you give up on that band replacement and get rid of that Timex...and get yourself the Casio Pro Trek 3500...one of the best hiking watches on the market right now. The band is removable and replaceable. Getting a NATO Bond 22 inch band for it. Search and read up on it, nothing but rave reviews. I love mine. Only watched 1st episode just didnt find it my thing just like pokemon go.

Loved mine, till the wristband broke. No replacement band, so now worthless. Just sits in my junk box now.

Watch it self is great durable and on point however bracelet is crap. Made of resin and wont hold up more then few months if worn every day. Mine lasted about 8 months before it cracked. Band is unique to a watch and can not be replaced by other types or modified in any way. Your stuck with ordering them through timex website for $10-12 + shipping. It is really only weak point. Not worth the money if you are outdoors person military/ law enforcement or just average joe that likes outdoors like hiking an such environments. If your gonna wear it on casual friday's by all means its ok watch.

Had that watch for years love it but the band breaks and is now irreplaceable so the watch has become part of my graveyard
