Good story. It was plausible. All of the acting was good. Costumes, etc. All good. I believed the characters and actually cared about them in a short time. That's good and efficient character development. You could make a TV series out of this.

The acting in this movie was excellent.
Good acting,that black nurse maid played a great part,the coughing sheriff was excellent,and white lightning didn't let on to anything
Top-notch casting. Distinctive faces with plenty of character. Very believable performances. Great job.

I have an immense amount of respect for anyone who can take 20 minutes and tell a story better than another who happens to have unlimited cashy money and 2 HOURS to work with!! Pretty sure back when that writer strike went down, the money men told em all to go kick rocks! They figured we can make comic book movies till forever! They didn't think for a second though, there will be people who are 'starving artists' that will come along and take down Hollywood with a few go pros and a good drone pilot! These shorts are getting better every day!
I'm 72...this movie is as good as any western ever. Also another take on a heist gone bad.
Now that's how you make a western. Acting was top notch for sure.

Quite often whatever algorithms KZread uses puts things on my homepage that I have absolutely no interest in viewing or I have already watched a time or two. I love pearls like this. The exact same thing can be said for nearly ANY western ever made... From the high profile ones to the b-movies. From the 20's all the way up into the 00's. It's a big reason why the genre was made in the first place. It's a simplified setting to throw all sorts of complicated things at. Politics is one of the main ones. (Just watched Shane again, last night...it's all over that movie).
@albakreuk5830

James Avery can't get any more political then bank robbery, banks being corrupt & in the pockets on every level of government, even if there *_IS_* *_NO_* discussion of politics in the movie. Action against politics is just as loud as words, nonviolent action is always better though.
What I like is the depth of character development each one brings to the story. So many of these short films have “flat” personalities, meaning I don’t get a feeling of individuality coming from the actors. These are true actors
Excellent! I really enjoyed this film. Thank you.
I want to see the Marshal recover and watch the relationship develop with his nurse. She was so cool. Both characters were very likeable. It was great when she came out with the shotgun, and you could see the fear in her when guns were drawn but she still did what she had to do.
What a story! The Characters were built up quickly and precisely in minutes. A feat that no writer's I've known who can do this in cinematography so quickly? I bow to you genius. Thank you for sharing your Art. The acting was awesome.

This was really good. What I really liked about the show about the older man, is that he wasn't a bad man, he was just desperate and wanted to save his farm and everything that he worked for, and he saw no other way to do it. I wish they had made a sequel to it.
if folks keep making great short films like this westerns will make a great comeback.
this kept me interested, I loved the escalating tension, the pacing, the authenticity, all of it. It shows when a good man gets desperate enough to do a wrong in hopes of making something right, and then worse, teams up with those who are truly evil , it never ends well.

Darren Lytle Thank you, kindly! We really appreciate you taking the time to watch our film!
I love short films because they're like individual scenes in a feature-length film. And I can see that in a way, they are more difficult than full-length films because, in order to possess quality and worth, so much more has to be conveyed and in a much shorter amount of time. They require a certain mastery of storytelling that is very difficult to achieve. And I'm sure for some it is easy to tell in a short film whether or not its producers have the required skill, and experience. I, however, in my judgment, do not have adequate knowledge of such mastery to judge if a short film possesses that quality that speaks so highly of its makers. But, in my limited knowledge, I feel confident in saying that at the very least, this film has some stroke of a higher kind. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I'd like to suffice to say that it is one of my favorite short films, if not my most favorite.
