No, but I was told watching telly too long will make your eyes become squares. And that if you eat really well, a little bit of the meal will come up from your belly button. Turned out my dad would grab a leftover little piece and pretend he was rummaging around our bellies to find the reward. I refused to eat the bits, because "they're gross growing in your belly and out your belly button"

Our daughter would sneak inappropriate clothing to school. I worked midnights. I got woke up @ 10 every day by the school calling. 2 hours of sleep after 12 hour shifts. I finally told her if she did it 1 more time I would walk her into school with my ratty bathrobe, old nightie, fuzzy pink slippers and hair in curlers. She thought I was joking. Nope. I walked her into school holding her hand and went to class with her. No more inappropriate clothing issues for the rest of the year. It was so bad that she was almost expelled because of it. The principal the last day of school thanked me I guess they had no more issues with any of the other kids either LOL. Mom power!

that wee boy knew the queen is a lizard person
My Mom quit 'getting the belt' when we quit crying while she was spanking us. That's when she had to get creative. Grounding, no TV, can't go out, in your room, chores without rewards, no pocket money, to bed after dinner, she knew how long it took to walk home from school - the phone would be ringing as I was trying to get in the door. Creative.
