Also potatoes were poisonous and only grew in certain altitude before they were domeaticated. The incas build several terraced circular depressions (like "Moray"), their depth, design, and orientation with respect to wind and sun creates a temperature difference of as much as 15 °C (27 °F) between the top and the bottom and soils were brought in from different regions to be used in helping grow crops at the different levels of the terraces. With this, they somehow managed to improve the properties of the potato and other vegetables. In Peru there are thousands of different types of potato with different properties and flavours.

I was meaning that Incas werent the only culture in Andeans. Thats why I dont think they are their potatoes. Maybe its from the Chavin.the first culture to appeared here in Peru.

@@johnnycsperu1907 well probably both incas and waris (and other previous cultures) helped to domesticate the potato and other vegetables, we don't know exactly how it was due to the lack of a known writing system in the area.

If the Spanish hadn't come, the Incas would probably have become like the Romans of South America

Los imperios mesoamericanos eran más avanzados en construcciones, conocian la escritura, tenían bibliotecas, arquitectura mucho más avanzada,...Los pueblos andinos no desarrollaron ni la escritura, no sé de que hablas. The Aztec Empire was shorter. As was the Japanese Empire (referring to 1868 to 1945). And the German Empire (1871 to 1918). And the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867 to 1919). And the Korean Empire (1890-something to 1905).

Mis 2 incas favoritos: Pachacutec o pachacuti: El que empezó la expansión inca, y todo se debe a que defendio cuzco de los chankas cuando viracocha lo abandonó, denotando su liderazgo y dotes de emperador, dejando las bases para su próximo gobernante. Sus estrategias fueron usadas 4 siglos después en la guerra del pacífico. Tupac yupanqui: lo podríamos llamar el Alejandro Magno de los andes (pachacutec un filipo), el que logró la mayor expansión derrotando varios reinos y posiblemente el primer inca en realizar una expedición marítima a oceanía.

Es que en sí, Pachacútec, Túpac Inca Yupanqui y un poquito Huayna Cápac, fueron los únicos Sapa Incas destacables. Anteriores a ellos no hicieron nada relevante, y los que lo siguieron llevaron a la ruina al Tahuantinsuyo.

Peruvian here, I agree, I think the history of both Peru and Mexico are amazing and underrated. Don’t listen to the nationalistic guy, long live the Inca and Mexica empires. I hope both Peru and Mexico have the indigenous cultures prevail for the future, seriously, Mesoamericans and Andeans had rich cultures with highly advanced civilizations rivaling Eurasia, built the greatest cities at the time (Tenochtitlan being larger and cleaner than Paris and London), and were the originals of making the greatest culinary countries of Latin America, of course being Peru and Mexico. Long live the Mexica ✊ much love from Peru

Good video but you forgot about Inca Urco, the ninth inca who reigned from 1438 to 1440. But the population itself and Pachacútec expelled him from the government after the victory of the second. He also remembers that Atahualpa was not an inca, but a usurper. Since he was not formally named in Cusco by the aristocracy when he was captured by the spanish. You also forgot about Paullu Inca, the seventeenth Inca who ruled from 1537 to 1549 since he was the last inca appointed by the castilians and the Cusco nobility.

I would unironically support this with a parliamentary or semi-constitutional monarchy. The problem is that the concept of a republic is ingrained in the minds of many people in Peru. Some even get to romanticize it to the point that it’s impossible to change their opinions. According to the people (i’ll generalize), monarchy is “useless” and it “doesn’t represent freedom”. Pretty different views from those the country had during the wars for independence, when several groups wanted to stay with the Spanish Crown. Anyway, if somehow the mindset is changed, the next problem is finding the monarch. Going for “inca restoration” implies a Quechua or Mestizo descendant from an Inca. There are plenty known today. But they live in no palace or, as far as I am aware, have no interest on a restoration, with no claims at all or a home upbringing to become a monarch in the future. If there were to be an Incan monarchy, I would suggest raising a child descendant to prepare him for decades before they get the Crown. Of course, the hardest part is erasing the republicanism mindset.

Se tiene una visión muy negativa,y principalmente desde la Ilustración y los ideales republicanos de la Revolución Francesa. Ahora bien, la idea monárquica que se tenía hasta mediados del siglo XIX era muy diferente a lo que se podría considerar una monarquía actual. El concepto europeo de la Monarquía estaba estrechamente ligada con la idea del Derecho Divino de gobernar. Tengo entendido que el líder Inca es efectivamente considerado también como un "Hijo del Sol". De esta manera, en una sociedad en donde el Estado es fundamentalmente laico (por lo menos en América Latina), la validez de estos puntos sería nula. Curiosamente, creo que sería posible al menos reunir esta nobleza Inca que se mezcló con la nobleza española (al parecer muchas familias nobles Incas migraron a España), y establecer una dinastía simbólica, como lo es la dinastía se la familia Real de Inglaterra ( aunque con diferentes matices,por supuesto). Lo que quizás pudo ser posible en cierto modo fue un intento de creación de una confederación para restaurar (al menos territorialmente) el Imperio Inca. Esto se vio con la Confederación Perú-Boliviana al mando del Mariscal Andrés de Santa Cruz, de al menos restaurar los territorios del Imperio Inca. Se llegó a ocupar los territorios de Ecuador, por ejemplo. Pero Chile reaccionó, y en conjunto con el bando peruano de Agustín Gamarra, derrotaron a la Confederación.

Knight of Annúminas Veo yo que el futuro del país en temas de orgullo patrio languidece. Siento que los jóvenes de hoy no tienen interés absoluto en las historia de su país. Del mismo modo, la prensa y los medios no ayudan. A veces pienso que no hacen más que estupidizar a la población y mantenerla absorta en temas banales. Vivimos en un país donde una que otra vez se enorgullece en los medios el legado precolonial, pero donde la gente reniega de su apariencia si es mestiza o indígena, donde nadie quiere aprender sobre el pasado con dedicación, y donde nadie hace el esfuerzo real de aprender quechua o cualquier otra lengua autóctona. De veras, a los jóvenes los veo en su mayoría como bien tarados y huecos; ellos criarán en su momento a hijos idénticos. Ni ganas hay en la gente de formar uniones territoriales con países como Bolivia o Ecuador, o de normalizar el quechua a nivel cotidiano, o de reformar *realmente* el status quo político. Es lamentable pero más aún, es indignante y genera aversión. Si el país quiere implantar una monarquía con una casa resultante del mestizaje entre el Imperio y España, la única forma en que he pensado que se puede conseguirlo es que un partido serio adopte al monarquismo como pilar suyo. No puede haber un Partido Monarquista como tal porque solo se dirige a una cuestión y se le debe recordar al pueblo que el monarquismo es una de tantas cuestiones, y no la única. Con la escoria de partidos actuales en el congreso (la mayoría), pienso que un nuevo partido que se propulse con éxito en la población y que predique el monarquismo tendrá éxito. Con rescatar el verdadero nacionalismo en la población recién se podrá proyectar al país, al país en uno y no un puñado de gente dentro, para la unificación con los vecinos.

Hmmm, no? Their language is barely spoken by a couple million people, their culture mixed with another of a bigger empire which last longer, it didn't developed writing nor iron metallurgy. They were conquered by 500 inteligent people, for god's shake, because their subjects were tired of them. Comparing it to Rome or china is almost an insult to Inteligence, both empires have shaped the lives of the whole world, specially Rome, and their religion or language directly influence BILLIONS of people worldwide. They last for much more time. Persia lasted as an empire for thousands of years in differentes shapes, and directly influenced posterior empires, like the helenic states or the Arab caliphates, it was a much more advance culture than any other in the world and it ruled s porcentaje of humanity. Today what direct influence do incas have? Peru is a mestizo Spanish-speaking and catholic country, Bolivia is almost the same, and they were the 2 most loyal territories during the wars of independence (it was even imposed to them by Bolivar and San Martín)

Interesante video, probablemente basado en los alcances que hizo Del Busto. En la actualidad el intentar darle una cronologia a estos personajes (en especial a los anteriores a la llegada de los españoles), apoyado en la cronologia propuesta por Rowe la cual esta basada en las cronicas, es algo que se suele dejar de lado en los campos academicos mas serios. Las ultimas dataciones nos hablan de una expancion incaica mas temprana, tanto asi que los datos cronometricos efectuados tanto en Chile como en Argentina nos dan fechas cercanas a los 1390, 1400, 1420 aprox. en muchos casos, periodos que coinciden con los supuestos gobiernos de Yahuar Huaca - Viracocha (1380 y 1410 segun el video) en los cuales la expansion territorial, segun la mayoria de los documentos, no salio de las fronteras del Cuzco.

@@alonsoschneider8109 Existen corrientes, tanto etnohistoricas como las que se fundamentan en los datos radiometricos, que son partidarias en abandonar una cronologia lineal tan cual se lee en los documentos quinientistas (de 12/14 "reyes" Ingas). Lo cierto es que los datos citados en mi comentario, conocidos ya desde hace casi 30 años) han planteado un reelectura muy critica de la lista de Sapa Ingas comunmente usada. Un saludo.

Los estudios sobre este asunto son de larga data, aqui te dejo algunos titulos para que usted los lea y saque sus propias conclusiones: - Anna Adamska - Towards radiocarbon chronology of the Inca state. 1996. - Virgilio Schiappacasse - Cronologia del estado Inca. 1999. - Dennis E Ogburn - Reconceiving the chronology of the Inca imperial expansion. 2012. - Luis Cornejo - Sobre la cronologia del inicio de la imposicion cuzqueña en Chile. 2014 . - Erik J. Marsh - ¿Cuando llegaron los Inca a Mendoza? Una reevaluacion de los fechados radiometricos mediante un modelo bayesiano. 2016. En cuanto al asunto propiamente del analisis critico de las fuentes documentales, las criticas al intento de historiar el Incario pre-hispanico, usando los textos como fuente unica, datan desde la decada se los 60s con Ake Wedin, por ejemplo. Le dejo un estudio que podria aclararle algunas cosas, trabajo que se enfoca en el texto que Rowe uso para realizar su conocida cronologia, la cronica de Cabello Valboa: - Soledad Gonzales & Francisco Garrido - Una relectura de la cronología de los incas de la Miscelánea antártica de Miguel Cabello Valboa. 1586. 2017. Casi todos estos titulos se encuantran facilmente por internet.

It is complicated since the only aztecs whose supreme rulers were the tlatoanis were the mexicas, texcocanos and tacubanos. In addition, the spanish during the conquest of the Triple Alliance destroyed many of their codices.

That's the Tupayawri (also spelled as Topayauri) and it's a symbol of the Inca's divine ancestry and right to rule over the Cusco people as a Manco Capac's descendant.
