Edith Wilson is called the “First female president” as during Wilson’s last two years he was largely incapacitated and bedridden due to a stroke and Edith largely controlled the presidency. While not an actual president she and others like Dick Cheney or even people Like John Hanson are often seen as unofficial untied States presidents in ways more than one.
