    Yea 1997 was massive. WWF finally came out of the doledrums, ECW was really on fire in terms of insane fun violence...and WCW with the nWo was on top and gobbling up talent left and right. It was a crazy chaotic year

    I really looked at that Royal Rumble in early 1992 as the grand finale of the WWF as I knew it and what I grew up on from the mid 80s. It had so many stars and such an epic finish. By the end of that year half of the stars that were in the Rumble had jumped ship. The whole 80s vibe was fizzling out and tastes were changing in movies and music by then as well. 1990-1991 still had that 80s vibe for the most part.

    Being a child and renting a wwf pov was such a huge part of my childhood w my brother. We d do the entrances, do promos as whoever was fighting in the match. Good times!! Since we didn't rent them in any chronological order, they didn't make sense all the time, but they were still great!!!

    This is the year i became a wrestling fan, the first match i saw was Flair vs Savage from WM 8 thanks to my grandparents who randomly had the show recorded for them. From then on i could only watch WCW Worldwide on ITV on saturday afternoons as we didn't have Sky then.

    Wait a minute 17,000 at The 1992 Royal Rumble In Albany New York is impossible and here's why, I am from Albany New York, and attended The 1992 Royal Rumble. Back then it was called The Knickerbocker Arena. The name of the arena has changed numerous times, The Pepsi Arena, The Times Union Center, and Now The MVP arena. The name of the building changed, however the building is the same since outline In 2024, that it was in 1992. The MVP has a capacity of 12k. 12k is a sellout. So a report of a 17k 1992 Rumble is impossible more like 12k
