The second track "Don't Let Go" had me in tears at work where I had to spend a few minutes to recompose myself. I think the song articulates the self-doubt and self-loathing of depression and the thought of suicide, but beautifully comforts the listener. The lyrics "This is not the end all, be all. This is not the last of one we know. This is not a change in fortune. This is life, live it, don't let go." I lack the diction to properly articulate how spot-on all this is and the message it conveys. Even in the worst pit of depression, it is not the rest of your life. There is a tomorrow if you allow there to be. You can change your life, can change your circumstances, and can even change the world. So don't let go! I still suffer from depression from time to time, but I can safely say I'm out of the pit and no longer feel the crushing weight of it all. My life is actually happy, but I never would have guessed it could be back in that black pit of depression. I've never had a song "speak" to me before, or one that connects with you on a fundamental level before this. Thank you for so beautifully articulating exactly what you need to hear in that situation. I also get the feeling this song comes from experience. Thanks again :-)

Usually with electronic music (or any other derivative of it), you get mediocre vocals with nothing unique in it, whereas here ..it's just wow! It has an effect on you regardless of what they sing about.

I was only 6 in 1983, but I still remember a lot of the 80's culture and can identify with it strongly, more so than perhaps the 90's. Such a great decade in many ways.

I think it's because middle school is when we develop the mental autonomy to absorb things outside of our family like culture, music, and other things. It's pretty limited in practice, but we passively absorb a lot more than we could comprehend at that age.

This album is possibly the most heartwarming album I've ever heard,I'm an 80 new romantic from the 80s...this music is keeping me healthy in the future while remembering the synths of the past...God bless The Human League etc...and Timecop1983 you have created a monster recording.

Even after two years, this album is still an absolute gem and I’m so happy to own it on vinyl. It really helps me take my mind off of my depression.

i first found this genre when i was depressed, of course now it's gone i have a girlfriend and i'm "okay". But i still listen to it because it makes me forget about my troubles like it used to.

I don't think I'll ever get sick of "Tonight". Have probably listened to it a hundred times.

Like Timecop1983, I was born in 1983. Like Timecop1983, I am perhaps torn between romantic nostalgia and actual memory of the 1980s. Like Timecop1983, the music here flows through my veins like blood and I find it hard to separate time and memory, and so both bleed together in a glorious fusion of thought and emotion that carries me away until the album ends and I'm left wondering where and when and who I am 10/10 would listen again, have listened again, and will continue listening again
