I just discovered Raúl Esparza a little more than a month ago & I totally fell in love, I'm really obsessed! I think, considering how much material I still have to cover, I'll be on this obsessed period for months to come 😂😊

I'm stupid I had the album of this for 6 years and I listen to it all the time, and I watched this video several times, because I'm a fan of Joan Jett, but never realized ADA Barba is riff raff 😂 so now not just one but two of my favorite people sing this😍

I still wish they would've had a scene on SVU where everyone is watching this in the squad room and Barba comes up behind them and asks "What are you watching?" and they turn it off quickly.

This performance is still engrained in my brain 22 years later. What an awesome production!

I wish SVU made some reference to Esparza playing the wildest roles in musical theater. Cabaret? RHPS? Taboo? Chess? Like, dude was the epitome of gender non-conforming bisexual energy and he doesn’t get one scene? Like, come on. His first episode he asks to be choked by a belt to win a case. There is no way they couldn’t have worked it in. That being said, I do live for his little moments with Benson and Carisi.

I disagree. Personally, I believe that the best Riff-Raffs in history had a metal voice, & can be easily remembered, whereas the smoother voiced Riff-Raffs are forgotten within a month of their performance. Richard O'brien himself, the man who wrote the play, & was the film's Riff-Raff, sung it in a similar manner. So did the guy who played Riff after Raul did. The 1974 LA Riff did too. All raspy, all remembered. But, Glee's Time Warp was soft-voiced, & everyone seems to hate it. Point made.

So that's the guy from Law & Order?? Wowwwww he's awesome!!!

I was really liking this performance...and then Joan came out and ruined it for me :( She seemed so lifeless and boring which, to me, is not Columbia at all. It was just really dull and it seemed to drag the number down a lot for me.

Glee's Time Warp (when Riffraff was singing) was obviously just modeling after the Richard O'Brien performance (their whole conception of the musical came from the movie as opposed to the stage version), but people forget that the original and early casts of the show had Riffraffs that sang like this and didn't just try to copy O'Brien.

I don't think she is. It's not the first time she has done something like this and she certainly isn't knew to Rocky Horror. She's liked it ever since it came out, and I'm not only talking about the movie.

She actually shaved her head, but it wasn't for the role, it was simply something she did to mark the millennium, and the role just happened to coincide with it.
