Give Tim Curry his star on the Walk of Fame already, this man is an absolute legend 💖💖💖
RHPS is one of my absolute favorites. It makes me sad that Tim Curry has such a love/hate relationship with the role. Because he was amazing.
I think it was Tim Curry who said in an interview "It was insane to do it, but it would have been insane not to."
My stepdad showed me pictures a while ago of him dressed in drag. It looked eerily realistic (in the sense of femininity) and he explained to me that he wore that outfit with his friends every time that they went to the cinema to watch RHPS. He apparently got hit on by MULTIPLE dudes. It was a very good bonding experience, and it helped us bond.
All of we "weird" kids found a loving home thanks to these amazing people and film.
"We all slept with Tim" i belive it. Who wouldn'th.
I absolutely ADORE Tim Curry -- so sad to see him confined to a wheelchair. He is one of the greatest actors of all time. I agree with Carlise who says Tim Curry should have a star on the Walk of Fame. If I knew how to start an online petition I'd do it in a heartbeat.
The way Susan Sarandon kept looking at Tim Curry near the end...love and respect,as if to hold that moment as long as they could
The love Barry Bostwick clearly has for the film and community surrounding rocky horror makes me so happy
I'm so surprised Tim Curry has never played Gomez Addams, he'd fit it so well!
I like how Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon always unapologetic and proud they were in RHPS.
I played Magenta in my city's Rocky Horror Players for 4 years straight. I still have all of my costumes and wigs. And I still keep in touch with our immediate cast. We will attend from time to time now but we make sure that the current cast get the credit now.
Seeing Richard as Riff smiling and giggling is pure joy
True story. When I was young I went to RHPS live production in a local theatre. It had many of the original cast, including Tim Curry. At the show I was one of the few who sat right up the front, and when Tim chased his creation, Tim stopped, looked at me, sat on my lap and pretended to kiss me (his hand was over my mouth), AND then winked at me on stage! Was a pretty incredible moment looking back, something to treasure.
My best rhps memory? When my daughter and her friends were watching and I came in during the Time Warp and started dancing. These three teens had no idea I knew the film. Then it became a tradition to watch it together.
Bless Mr. Curry, where would we be without his wit and his fearlessness as a performer?
not gonna act like it’s not hard seeing tim like that at the end, but he will forever be a legend, not only for this movie, but
The impact this show has had is almost immeasurable... I remember watching it for the very first time in 2008 as a bright eyed and bushy tailed 16 year old, a typical "good little Christian girl", knowing I "shouldn't" be absolutely drinking it up like I was. And yet I had never felt more seen and welcome for the freakiness inside that I had barely recognized was lying dormant there. Finally 15 long years later, after battling heaps of denial and indoctrination, thanks to hard-won self-discovery and self-actualization, I can proudly say that I am kinky as an old garden hose and queer as a $3 bill and couldn't be happier!! Be yourselves folks, everyone else is taken 💜
Me: knows RHPS stands for rocky horror picture show. Also me: "Red Hot Pilly Seppers"
My 17 year old boy just played the Time Warp tonight with Richard O'Brien here in Tauranga, NZ. He is 80 now and can still belt out a tune.
