I have owed a 1845C since 2002, a word of advice, change the oil in the chain case that drives the tires. The covers on the top of the chain case leak and you will have water leak in eventually. It’s easy to do. As far as cleaning the belly pan there should be two large plates you can unbolt and remove on the bottom of the machine below the motor and pump. Makes cleaning a breeze. They are though little machines.

Thanks for the knowledge. I actually did a video where I changed out the chain box oil. It was A MESS, water had gotten into one side and was almost full up to the top. I wish I had known about the belly before I started cleaning 😔.

I own a 1998 1845c- they are very handy to have around. I noticed your dog was near the machine during operation- just my opinion but thats really not a good idea. The visibility is horrible on most skid steers and all you can really see is whats in front of you. I personally know a fellow that ran over and killed his toddler son with a skid steer- Just be aware that these are not forgiving at all and usually accidents with them have dire consequences-

Yeah I love ours. I make sure my kids are with my wife every time I use it. I’m very aware of how dangerous they are, I almost clamped my buddies hand with a jaw attachment I have.
