I really need to get into time blocking, especially with the new academic year starting soon, but, as someone with ADHD I do find it hard to focus on tasks at specific times. Sheffield Eagles are my RL team. 👍

The best way to start is to begin small. You could try 30 minutes in the morning blocked for something specific. As you develop the habits and routines, you can expand the time or frequency of blocks.

😂nice lesson, but how do we integrate tasks to the calendar when we do weekly planning? I’m currently relying on Todoist calendar view and duration of tasks but it’s quite the opposite to flexibility

You don't. There are far too many unknowns to accurately predict how long a task will take or even if it's still relevant on the day you plan to do it. Instead, develop your categories of work and use calendar blocks to do your categories. Then, use Todoist's labels to match your categories, and when the time comes, work from your daily category list.

The last time I was sick was five years ago. When that happened, I stopped everything and focused on my recovery. Work is never more important than health. When I recovered, I found that around 70% of the stuff had sorted itself out, and the backlog took around two weeks to catch up. All I needed to do was add an extra thirty minutes to my communication and admin time to do that.
