Both of these synths go quite deep. I wouldn't necessarily call them simple. The FM has some deep edit modulation settings and the Drum you can just about create any sound with.

@@krostifmusic Same, people said it's metallic and not suited for "normal" sounds, but it just shows how little time they actually spent with it. The fact that it has a built in "reverb" makes it so powerful when you only have a stereo output mixer and one set of pedals. The Volca Bass is also an amazing and often overlooked Volca. The main drawback to both of these is the sequencer, but you can use something external for that.

Very enjoyable and deft performance. :3

Great job! Love what you're doing with these two. Never did buy the Drum, but probably should've. Beats was one of the first Volca's I bought and it's my least favorite for sure. Love the FM though for sure. Oh and can never go wrong with that MS-70CDR. Great stuff! Dig the Dub vibe!

Thank you very much Dylan !! I love making sound design on Vdrum, it has its unique color of drum sounds, that's why I choose it. And I never really go deep in the multistomp before it's very interesting !! Now I have to really work on sound design with Vfm because I always used presets 😂✌️

Thanks a lot !🙏 Volca drum and FM is a great combo. You will have more voices with fm2 but harder to use with other gear due to no midi in 🙂

Either brassens sounds different on fm2 or i simply cannot achieve same level as you. What the amazing and inspiring work! I have exactly the same gear but i am far away from this kind of dub chords coming from fm2. Big up!

Wow! I couldn't really figure out how to make the Volca Drum work for me. I got a Drumbrute Impact..I'm using it with a DBA ROOMS..but I'm thinking I need something more like the Zoom, for that. Great music! Thanks!

Thanks a lot J !! A mixtape could be very nice, but I never found a dj controller who works with Linux. I have a software but not much fun and precision with a mouse.. Beautiful work. Quality tune. Cheers for effects chain info on pedal too. One question though. Is the chain read here left to right but is represented right on the pedal, or is it in the order you'd see on the pedal? Anyway, thanks for the upload and for the many other displays of excellent tuneage that make up this channel.

Thank you very much, really appreciate your feedback ! 🙏 The effect pedal chain is listed in the same order as it was set. So space hole in first position + filter diy in 2nd and slapback in 3rd. Cheers !

Looking to pair a 70CDR with a Xone92. So glad to have found this demonstration. Would be curious to learn, if you feel the 70CDR offers too many options to play with in a live setting? Lots of features built into it, but I wonder if it's too complicated to busk with.

No idea of how it works with a xone 92, but you can organize your favorite effects or chain effects in 70 cdr for quick calls in a live set :)

This is certainly AWESOME, thanks for sharing. I just got started in my journey and just got a Volca Drum weeks back . Was also doing some research on the next Volca and you are making it a little easier on that FM choice. What had you swing to the FM versus any other of this family?

@@LuisTorres-qz5kr haha sorry for the confusion 😅 I chose Volca FM for its versatility (can make bass, leads, pads, even perc sounds). It is also the only one with an arpeggiator.. Volca keys can be nice too and can make lots of différent sounds, more intuitive in sound design but no patch slots. And it can be ridiculous but I also like to have 16 pattern slots instead of 8 😅

Thank you ! 🙏 Yes, I think juno 06A is a better option than volca fm because you have more functions, 4 voices instead of 3 and sound design is more intuitive but its not the same price. I never played with it but i would like it for sure :)
