Time Attacking a Porsche 911 GT3 RS at Toronto Motorsport Park
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I've always maintained that with how I drive, no one would wanna lend me their cars to thrash on a race track. Well well well, today I have been proven wrong. This is an amazing car... Wish I could say it's mine though. This specific car is a stock 991.1 GT3 RS with PDK.
HUGE Thanks to all my sponsors for helping me go faster!

great job on the 15.2 btw, a fast lap at TMP often looks a little wild since the tight corners reward early rotation. You've definitely got a high 14 in that car!

I track a 997 carrera. Loved watching you figure out how to drive a 911. All of your observations match mine: Gotta be super smooth on inputs -- little movements make a big difference. Corrections have to come lightning fast. The car rewards skill and punishes mistakes. I love it.

I have a manual gt3 and dude are these cars soooo fun and as mine is a manual it's very very hard to keep up with a PDK car. The thing is you're not ready for this car is capable of doing looking by you're lines i can easily tell you're not used to that amount of grip, power and braking power so it does take time to get used to but once you get the hang of these cars there untouchable

@@Steve-qr2lm but manuals are just sooo raw analog and fun and you can even slide them around while double clutching all around the track lol. But the downside to manuals on a track is well idk I get tired after a couple of laps lol
I've been running the 911 GT3 Cup on iRacing for a while and it's a blast while very challenging...arguably their most accurately modeled car on the service according to many pro drivers who race the real thing. Not sure what the differences are between it and the RS but if you haven't played around with it, you should. Though, the rear engine does require a different mindset. Avoid maintenance throttle to keep as much weight on the front end as possible for grip.
This is by far my favorite channel, it's good to see a channel focused on motorsports and time attack. I wish I could do a ride along because I've been to quite a few track sessions on Fuji Speedway, Nikko circuit, Ebisu circuit, and Sportsland Yamanashi and I know absolutely zero. I wish I started out with a smaller less powerful car to learn the basics because my car now is way over done for learning. I always find myself just trying to make sure I dont die 🤣🤣

Omg! My hands are sweating.....when I was watch it! Porsche engine sounds the best! PDK is probably the fastest auto gear box in the world.
I still remember when I drove a Porsche 911 for the first time! These cars like to be driven in a way they like.. having the engine in the Rear.. was totally an experience. An experience that I honestly didnt enjoy much. The feel tho, Driver seating position, Lots of driver feedback that was awesome tho! Just wasnt feeling that engine in the rear cuse now I had to change my driving- style alot. That's just my opinion.

911 is a bit more of a slower in faster out car.... and very good at late braking with the rear weight bias. What an epic car, and an epic engine. But really, first time you've ever driven any Porsche?? Well you got to drive a premium example for your first time lol!
Incredible car..... I am absolutely obsessed with cars.... and If I had all the money in the world this is the one I would buy. This is easily one of the best engines in the world, millions and millions of engineering dollars spent to get this type of power out of a 4 liter NA. Wow.. My dad has a 2013 911 S and it gives a taste of this type of experience but I cant imagine how driving the real thing would be.

This is basically Burnout's Burning Lap event; you're essentially given keys to a stupid fast car, a track, & a set time to beat. And that wall action tho, she's gonna clip a wing mirror sooner or later.

Driving a rear-engine car can be very tricky if you're used yo Drive front-engine (supra) or mid-front-engine (s2000)
A little more prescision on mid-corner and corner exit and you'll be in in the 1:13's!
JDing, I am one of the Biggest Porsche GT3 nerds ever, but I must say I think once the Supra has the proper Aero on it, it is going to beat the Porsche by far, especially with your driving style. Porsche looked like fun though :D . Missing the Sound of the S2K on your videos

Why do you turn in so early instead of later? I'm defining early based on the tires you're running, it puts you on an aggressive angle when you're trying to get good exit speed. I had the same question on the supra videos as well. I'd expect an early turn in to prevent dive bombing but this isn't wheel to wheel. Asking for informational purposes not internet snark.

I'm in no way knocking your driving as you're probably faster than me, you gotta smooth out your steering inputs though man. I know it's a new car to you and the dynamic is different but you're jerking that wheel all over the place when you should be holding tight lines and making small corrections, you kept losing the rear from over braking or over powering your steering inputs.
I've never seen anyone saw as much on the wheel as this guy. Never going to get fast driving like that.
