With a budget of 30k, what material would you use on a 2nd story deck 25’x14’ near the water/shore? We are leaning towards timber tech Azek advanced pvc legacy series In “castle gray’ or vintage series in “coastline”. We also have a pool in the yard so it will get wet. Is azek the way to go or should I be looking at other brands?

Azek is great. I'd also look at Deckorators Voyage line for that application. Fiberon Promenade is a dead ringer for Azek Vintage as well, and usually a bit less money and more durable. All 3 are great...find the colour you love!

I like the Pecan color more than anything else Timbertech has to offer, but I worry about scratches and slip resistance. My next favorite would probably be the Reserve Collection Dark Roast. Any comments or insight I should consider when looking at these two? Does the intense texture of the Reserve Collection boards look good on a completed deck? Any notable difference in temperature?

No difference in temp. Reserve doesn't show scratches as easily as Legacy. It's a great looking board!
