The Skycranes must be very expensive to operate. They’re a vanishing breed of aircraft, even with Erickson rebuilding them.

Running bowline spar cinch. Or leave a stub for a tie in. And hiking around in spurs is ridiculous.

@@mchill2my guess is because they are carrying so much other shit around, they don’t want a heavy ass 200’ rope as well. But it is way nicer to zip down your spar rope on a figure 8 or whatever

10 trees a day seems dangerous. It’s when you’re exhausted that you are most likely to get hurt. I climbed some on Vancouver Island but never got close to your level.

@@joncozzi1701 No life line is absolute madness. What’s the response time on that helicopter for an aerial rescue pick estimated? 10 trees a day and even your best stud is going to burn out. And those B.C. mountain boys are built tough.

That's what makes these shows look set up. that semi-driver knows those roads, why wouldn't he double-chain at the start of the hills. I know it's for the excitement and the views but I'd never consent to that to make me as a driver look stupid!

Low boy drivers usually only go once or twice to the job. Not like a log truck that hauls many loads off of it. So they dont really know the roads as well. Also, many people try to put on as little chains as possible as it ...well it just sucks throwing chains to be honest lol
