Paying my respects. RIP Mr. Magoo. That's crazy how I haven't heard this song in so long and I vividly remember the song and the music video. The 90s was the best time for black music. I was born in 92’ and it feels good to be able to live in that era of fine music.

All of them from the Superfriends era were talented as hell and especially Aaliyah was multitalented as an actress, model, trendsetter as well. Her loss hit really hard considering how young she was, the way she died and how her career had to offer so much more iconic albums, movies etc. Static was the mastermind behind most of classic tracks from Ginuwine (So anxious etc.), Aaliyah, Nicole Wray and other artists as well. His pen was second to none 🔥. And that Playa album from 98 was really underrated at its time. May all three of them be reunited in heaven and rest peacefully 🙏🏼🕊🕊🕊

This came out the summer before eighth grade and I remember everyone rapping it when we got back to school -- this album is a classic, especially to people who were teenagers in the late 90s. I still remember it by heart, took me back. Magoo, you made a mark on a lot of people.

Ahhh my childhood memories! I'm 36 with a 16yo son who has fallen in love with Aaliyah's music just as I did. Now, 20 years later, we are blessed again with all of her music, along with all of her collabs. This group & their talents transcend through generations & stand the test of time. ❤
