@Ricardo Thomas the kids making music now have no clue about the hustle involved just to get put on, let alone stay on in the days where radio play was king, getting an album made and touring was bread and butter, and the artists were just that ARTIST. Even those who appeared from the outside as gangsters were not. They were educated street poets. Pac, king of thug life, and went to art school...they played a role. Kids now don't understand that and think they have to live that way to be accepted and with no real labels to keep them in check they just sample shit without asking, making subpar beats on a cell phone and uploading to sound cloud and get fame.
