That line NEVER get's old.

When he started out, he suffered from mild stage fright. One evening, circumstances had him performing without shoes and he discovered it made him feel more comfortable on stage. And, let's face it, he's a comedian.

Calling him a comedian is an insult. He a brilliant artist with a gifted mind. He ain’t up there for 90min do in g 1 liners. Comics make you laugh when good. Those who are above that make you think

@@troystewart7730 Tony, your admiration of Tim is commendable but I can do without the hyperbole. Someone who performs with the intent to make their audience laugh is a comedian. Tim might even be a great comedian but don't give me that "calling him a comedian is an insult" crap. He is what he is. How good he is at it is another matter.

I don't know how often I've seen this. A hundred times easily. And it's still hilarious.

The breathing part broke me...

He had me in tears with the breathing routine LOOOOOL

having a sense of humor about everything is good, it means he's coping, that he moved on, it means he's not hiding what happened under the carpet, bottling it all up and scaring himself for life. humor is one of the greatest coping mechanisms we have.

I've never seen any comedian impersonate a sleeping baby before!

Thank you Tim Minchin for helping not freak out at my newborn's breathing

He's totally right about the creepy breathing. The first time I was put in charge of babysitting, this little girl was just snoozing happily with her head turned halfway around like the exorcist and blowing spit bubbles as she snored and gurgled like a bathtub draining, I was just standing over her stroller looking horrified and thinking "Fuck what if it dies, what if they blame me, what if she really is possessed, how could I live with myself?!"

love it. that really is how it feels to have a newborn. a little dark humor helps and if u don't kill ur own they grow up and give u grandchildren. if only there were a way to get to the grandchildren w/o the crazies u get having kids

Yeah i'd rather hear about them then the royal fucks in england.

This makes me so happy, that something like this exists. When my wife discovered Tim, she showed me his stuff and we would spend hours laughing and enjoying his incredible talent. She passed at the end of 2020, but when I watch his vids, it makes me feel like it did when we watched them together. "She might like pussy" LOL ! Life is so weird man.

That is exactly how babies sleep.

Oh that is grand. I totally had that same thought when my daughter first stopped being the thing that woke us up in the moring. After a few days of waking her up by looking at her, I had to retrain myself by thinking, "fine, if she is dead, then I might as well do the dishes, since I sure won't be doing them after I find out..." etc... it helped me get things done, and it helped her get the sleep she needed.

His wife's reaction to him wanting to check on the baby was even funnier than I remember and I frequently think back to it!

Still love this after all these years 🤣 his wife sounds like the kinda woman I would have a pint with lol

Was babysitting a couple of my nephews, I could not stop hovering over them. I was soooo paranoid.

On another note: I now love Tims wife as much as I love Tim.

I can't imagine how great it would be to grow up in that family!

I think from her interpretation, it was a lot like the "I hate my wife" memes. People not valuing their partners, yet expecting them to stay and be a good and faithful. The fundamental thing she was missing is that he clearly does value her, he's just mocking the idea that there's only one person you should be with.
