Well that one is funnier because Austin claims it makes his butt vibrate, then sits on the speaker to get a full effect. He comes off of that speaker like someone just fondled that cute little skinny hiney. While the low note is doing unchaste things to Austin's derriere, it also shimmers the video.

My story - I was at a Home Free concert and at the beginning of the concert 2nd song Tim hit a low note and the plaster from the ceiling started coming down in flakes and a few small chunks. Onto the stage and front 2 rows, people were brushing it off their clothing. It was an older theatre, but They were on the stage looking up like they didn't know if they should run offstage or not. 😄

Home Free supplies their own speakers for bass now.

Tim is slightly lower but Avi has better tone throughout imo

Acapella bands usually carry their own speakers if they have actual bass voiced singers now. Tim has the lowest range of the 3, including Avi and Geoff. Geoff uses subharmonics and that doesn't do it. Bass voices continue to mature longer than the other singers so Tim is 40 and Avi is going to be 33 this month. His voice has dropped just between when he was in Pentatonix and today. They did a funny thing last night on the final night of his European tour in Paris and had the audience sing happy birthday to him but as low as they could. He laughed about his bandmates plan for that. 🙂

Am sure Geoff Castellucci has done his share - but I love them all for it!

Avi blew so many sound systems PTX had to get their own sound system that was capable of handling Avi's bass. Bet that cost them a pretty penny. All worth it in the long end. In the AHA video Avi takes down the system for a moment in the middle of the song and people have said it buzzed the rest of the night. LOL I'm just starting to watch HF so don't know much about Tim yet. 😎

This is Tim's first blown out speaker. They now use their own sound system.

Tim can hit lower notes. He gave Avi and Geoff Castelucci some pointers on how to get lower ranges, and there have been videos to see who actually has the lowest notes

Being in the building, you dont have a chance with Tim Foust there. The whole building rumbles! Your seats are vibrating! We call out lower, lower ! He does not disappoint!

Totally agree

Adam Rupp in Home Free blew out the first speakers they had with his beatboxing lows. Yeah, they have better speakers now. LOL They still cry though. LOL Tim has jolted Austin with the speakers. He laid across them and asked Tim for a low note...he said his vision blurred for a bit!

Avi was embarrassed and Kevin knew it. Kevin ran to retrieve him. The trio of Scott, Mitch and Kirsten had been close for years, so Avi and Kevin shared an apartment in L.A. and hotel rooms on the road. Kevin even said Avi was his very best friend. Kevin was not chasing Avi off stage, he was helping a friend. Kevin is now a Daddy now and they had not seen each other in awhile, but Kevin managed to visit Avi at his cabin before Avi left to be with his family for Christmas this past year. Perhaps you can go see Avi in concert in May or June. He has just completed his European tour, and will be touring the US .

Tim, Avi and Geoff are my Fave Bases. Love these Accapella groups!!

So funny. Yeah I’m familiar with these. I think Home Free has their own sound system now? Not sure but it makes sense with these guys. They can rattle seats. I heard Tim at a concert last year and his voice went right through me and I was in the mezzanine section! Sheesh! Good reaction D!😍

When the speaker went out, back behind them a guy came running on the ground. There was a place to the left where that guy put sound back. So funny. There is a different camera on them when Tim started the song and got to the oops part. LOL So much fun.

I hadn't seen the one with Avi Kaplan - the biggest difference between the two is that Pentatonix just stopped - Home Free kept going. Rob Lundquist just feel apart laughing but they finished the song. I've seen the video of the whole concert and they finished it.

Dont forget Geoff Cattalucci voice play

It's common for bass singers to overdrive subs amps (Incase of Tim's one) I have done both fried the amp and overdriving it and actually blow a speaker

There's a lot of times they get them to rattle or buzz without actually quitting. Avi gets a hard buzzing kind of honk out of them often (Natural Disaster, kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWuAyc6IksKYkps.html ) and I've heard that he even gets people's home speakers to quit on cheap equipment.

Look at the wedges( monitors) on stage. They look beat up, like drunk roadies tried loading them after a 2 day show. Corners are beat to crap, certainly not new, top of line equipment.

Let me put this out first. Pentatonix is better than I will ever be. They just ain't got the soul of home free 😂
