"EVERYTHING YOU'RE AFRAID OF" words & music by. T. Easton/ASCAP
You’re gonna be alright
You’re gonna be alright now
Just call a friend today
and you’ll be alright.
You are an engine falling out of the sky
kick on the air brakes, take a deep breath,
and stop asking why.
You don’t have to have shame for the games you played.
Let’s take all that pain and rage and useless hatred away,
and remove yourself from everything you’re afraid of.
You can ditch all the anger and unlock the chains.
Ask yourself how you help someone else who’s in pain today.
Take all those worries, put them in a big ol’ book.
Leave the book on a stranger’s shelf, that’s right, now congratulate yourself.
Send a meaningful prayer of sympathy to all your enemies.
Call a friend, ask them how they’re getting on, and mean it.
C’mon remove yourself from everything you’re afraid of, then play guitar.
Open up any window, open up any door,
let the light inside like you never ever had before.
Now get down on your knees, right down on those dirty knees.
Do not fight, ask the light for the might to help you find some peace
Think of everyone you hurt, starting with yourself.
Everyone you lied to, starting with yourself.
Every broken promise, starting with yourself.
Every broken heart, starting with yourself.
Every family torn apart, starting with yourself.
Every time you turned away from everything you’re afraid of
Turn and face everything you’re afraid of
Turn and face everything you’re afraid of
Turn and face everything you’re afraid of

Otis sent me here and the Golden Bear made a appearance. Great song, fun video! Nice work!
Really good advice and a great song 👍🎸
This is pretty cool song. I never heard of this guy but liked the title so I gave it a whirl. Reminds me of the impeccable Graceland CD by Paul Simon vibe-wise.
I was searching around for some music I hadn't heard before. I was listening on the Internet to a radio station in Wales(!) and she played this song (I'm in California) and I had to track it down. I couldn't understand what the radio host was saying, but that doesn't matter. Love the song.

Cool story. Thanks so much. Thanks for sharing.
Great music video! Original and unusual! My respect to Ellington 👍 This is one of my absolute favorite songs! I fell in love with it as soon as I heard the home demo version in 2021 on YT.... I think this theme will always be relevant, because fear is our main enemy and this powerful emotion, the opposite of love, - destroys us, or makes us stronger if we overcome fear. Thank you so much for the studio version, Tim! It was an incredible pleasure to listen to it. I also really like the song "Underground". Hope to hear the studio version someday too.

Underground Artist? I’ve heard many songs from many genres and this is by far the best vibe I’ve gotten from any song. Should be mainstream
