This is part 2 of Tim Allen's shares his garage tour. Tim shares his private garage containing a diverse car collection of muscle cars, customs, Porsche, and Jag! Some celebrity garages only have new cars, but Tim is a genuine hot rodder and enjoys building cars and driving fast. On this two-part tour, you'll see all of Tim's cars and including the 1933 Ford Roadster that he built on the set of Home Improvement.
Tim is an American actor and comedian. He is known for playing Tim "The Toolman" Taylor on the sitcom Home Improvement and Mike Baxter on the Last Man Standing.

My childhood insomnia helped me learn the importance of Tim Allen and Home improvement on late night Nick at nite (night time nickelodeon) . A legend.
before this video i had never heard the phrase "goes like squirt". I've now heard it 217 times.

The most interesting part of this to me was Tim’s honesty about these cars. Even though they are his cars and he’s proud of them he still Admits they’re not perfect.

Mr Allen is not only a gentleman and a scholar but he is down to earth and enjoyable to listen to. He’s a great curator and even a better car collector! This was an amazing insight into the mans collection. Thank you

He isn't a "Hollywood" guy. They even cancelled his successful TV show a couple of years ago because he refused to cave into the PC culture. He seems to be one of the few regular guys in the CA scene.

I have learned that we car guys are caretakers of cars. We say we own them but actually we are just keeping them for the next person to enjoy. We all die one day and then they go to another caretaker/ owner. Tim and Jay are great caretakers. Neither one is young :^( and neither am I.

@Donna di Lode it will take a very special and skilled person to care for my car. It is very modified and has very high horsepower, electronics and such. It will be auctioned off and sold over and over or tore down to sell off pieces. My truck is very driveable and may survive.
Thanks for showing this Tim....and thank you for being outspoken in a world like yours. Stay the course my friend because you are appreciated by more folks than you might even know.
That blue hotrod that was the first one on Home Improvement holds a special place in my life/heart. Not only did I grow up watching Home Improvement and that was the show I sat down and watched with my parents and bonded (which that hotrod just screams Home Improvement to me) but I just love the look of that car.

@@devildog5354 Tim should order the new 1,100 HP Tesla Model S. Goes 200 MPH, and pulls 60 MPH in under 2 seconds. Needs almost zero maintenance. Cheaper to fuel than a Prius. I wonder what Tim would find to hate about that.

@David Galea Comparing today's gasoline cars to a Tesla is kind of like comparing the most-refined 1950's steam-engines to a new bullet-train. I think they're both cool, but in different ways. The gasoline car designers have proven themselves to be incredible at overcoming so many of the core deficiencies and limitations of that legacy technology. Imagine the cars they will be able to create once they're not hindered by that big loud complex heavy hot unreliable slow weak gasoline powertrain monstrosity.
I loved his verbal explanation on his cars. I really enjoyed his cars.
I'm a Detroiter like Tim, same vintage, love his perspective on cars and positive attitude for collecting them. Well of course he has plenty of resources, but the rest of us auto junkies enjoy our vintage muscle cars, modern muscle, and grand touring cars as best we can on our budgets. Thanks Peterson Museum for this look at Tim Allen's garage!

Tim Allen is a good guy. I like movies with him. He knows a lot about cars and talks interestingly, with humor and without showing off. Just a good person, it's nice to listen to him. Thank you Tim for sharing your collection!
The Shelby GT350H is a Hertz model, not Hurst. It was a limited edition from the Hertz rental company in 1966 which they also made another run of with the release of the "new" mustang in 2006.

I saw a few newer Hertz yellow Camero sports car used for NASCAR 🏁. They sold them online for $38000-40000.
I miss the home improvement show, and how easy my life was back then....

I would love to know if the area of Detroit Home Improvement was set in is now abandoned. I don't think they ever mentioned a suburb or area. Just Detroit
I love that he has something different to say about each car. He has true car taste and can experience each vehicle uniquely. That’s what I love about cars.
One of my favorite car Collections, and Tim is one of my favorite actors ..the guy was a fish out of water ..a real bad ass polished up...love it

I never thought much of Tim Allen until now. His collection is dwarfed by Jay's, but Tim has real racing/driving/mechanical experience which gives him a lot of credibility.

I totally get it. I used to have a Mk1 Golf GTI. Very quick hot hatch back in the early 80's. Now you might describe it as "nippy".

I'm in the car restoration business Tim has a nice collection but you seen one you seen them all, now that early semi truck now that is something interesting we have one of the best antique truck show here in PA and it's fascinating to see how many different brands we're out there.

Man I love Tim Allen, so many good memories watching home improvement with the family when I was a kid and he has great taste in cars to boot.
grew up with this guy on TV and always enjoyed the bits when you could see the hot rod being built in the garage.
I got my first model car to build to look as close to the blue home improvement hot rod as I could find I loved that car so much as a kid

Awesome to see how passionate he is about cars and that he actually can and does work on them himself. Grew up on Home Improvement.... used to watch it together as a family when I was a kid. Lost both of my parents at young ages and seeing/ hearing Tim makes me reminisce if the good old days!
I love the props that are Easter egged in this place. Home Improvement and Binford signage. Even some Pirate Burger swag from Crazy on the Outside lol 😁 Beautiful wall spread of tools. I expected no less

Yeah - that is such a unique detail that I'm honestly surprised by the mistake. I actually listened to it a couple times to make sure I heard it right. Tim seems like a nice guy, but lets just agree - he's no Jay Leno!

@@dragonbrownies517 Tim auctioned it off to raise money for 9/11 relief in 2001/02. From what I’ve found, it’s on its second owner after being auctioned.
Awesome Car collection, thanks to Tim for sharing it with us! I feel the same way about the Caddilac Fleetwood Brougham, when I was a kid it was a car that wealthy people seemed to be driving, so I've always loved the Caddy body styling from the late 70's time period.

I worked on his last show for the past 9 years and he would drive most of these to the set every so often . The 55 ford business coupe he mentions at the end of this video is amazing , the attention to detail is incredible . Back in the 90's I loved watching home improvement. I was lucky enough to have a dad that was a sales rep for DeWalt tools. He was a lot like tim the tool man, but without the accidents! This brought back memories from that time.

Thanks..... great Falcon/Torino, !!etc. Anyways, & interestingly, I,bought a **1966 Galaxie 500 XL color Burgandy/4 SPD/352/4bbl) in 1967,thru Pharmacy School/ Purdue .. ( really Enjoyed seeing Jay Leno Build his 7 Litre/**1966 FORD ,& the stories around it....). My GALAXIE WAS farly nice after I upgraded lots of stuff quickly *: needed better Brakes ( we fitted special Order metallic , as I mine did not have optional Disc, had to add Coolant Recovery System vi Ford Dealer only at first,in 1967 (?),later regular AUTO PARTS, ETC., tires. Monroe Shocks , etc... Would have been nice to have another Engine, or more expensive CAR ( e,g Shelby, Coevette maybe): not sure I could have afforded Gas/ Insurance on R Codes, or Corvettes, etc. fun times for several years With GALAXIE,

Interesting that the original owner of the falcon ordered that car during his senior year of high school. Would have been cool to be of age back then. And it was never a drag car.

It's clear that he has a very intimate relationship with automobiles in general (especially with those that were apart of his life). It is also clear that he knows what he is taking about because the nuance in the things that bother him about the cars is exactly that. Very cool video
Great collection, but missing the B-roll of the cars (interior mostly).
The only thing i know about a flat head engine is my gpa told me you can rebuild it with only a crescent wrench.
I would just listen to what ever this man has to say. he really loves his cars and it's a treat to hear him speak about his lovely vehicles
The blue '33 is my all-time favorite movie/show car. Mostly because home improvement was my favorite show while growing up. Being a DIY guy has become my lifestyle. Tim...you're a real car guy and I enjoy hearing what you say about cars!
