Nice video and explanation, however I have a question for you. I have a long zoom lens which has a large diameter focus ring. Using Tilta’s own calculation, I require something around 95mm. Tilta doesn’t seem to sell one that big, any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated 🙂

@neilwolfe6831 Thanks for the comment! That isn't something I ran into yet myself, so I did a bit of research. While it would be great if Tilta added a larger option at that size, since they don't currently have one, I'd try to use one that is like the 2nd best option I discussed, which has the screw attachment that holds the end together in an almost seamless way. From a quick search, I found this as an option: cavision.biz/RFGR95.aspx I haven't used it myself, but it seems like you'd end up with a focus gear that is all but seemless because the attachment point is not incredibly large, and it avoids the tail issue of the very loose, adjustable ones I talk about first. Hope this helps a bit, let me know if you have any other questions!

The Tilta size calculator came out at 95mm for my zoom lens and on the off chance I ordered the 88mm to 90mm seamless focus gear ring to try. It fits and works well ! So pleased. I just thought you may want to know just in case anyone else has the same problem.

I actually am not 100% sure because the rings themselves don't have size listings outside of their packaging. Sorry that isn't very helpful directly, however for any lens you are thinking about getting these for, you can measure the barrel diameter with a string.
